NBA Yahoo Fantasy League 2011-2012

Okay less than an hour to go now. I am just going to let the draft order be determined randomly.

Wish I could take part, have a half ass job of rankings done so hopefully I get a solid team. If you see some bizarre moves, just remember it's not me! Best of luck to all.

In another ten minutes or so, it is going to say "your draft is loading and a link to it will appear here shortly".

Yeah I had a problem too, just closed it and re-entered the draft, and it worked right away. Was fun (missed the first three picks though), will be posting my team later...

This is my team:

PG - Kyrie Erving - (PG, G)
SG - Monta Ellis - (PG, SG, G)
G - Tony Parker - (PG, G)
SF - Kevin Durant - (SF, PF, F)
PF - Zach Randolph - (PF, F, C)
F - Amar'e Stoudamire - (PF, F, C)
C - Marcin Gortat - (C)
C - DeAndre Jordan - (PF, F, C)
Uti - Caron Butler - (SG, G, SF)
Uti - Michael Beasley - (SF, PF, F)
Bn - Jose Calderon - (PG, G)
Bn - Shawn Marion - (SF, PF)
Bn - Jordan Crawford - (PG, SG, G)

I will definitely lose in the assists category unless Irving can do good in his first year.

And sorry RW, I was not paying attention to Redcafe, so I couldn't help you. My apologies.

I still can't believe I took Howard and let you have Wade. I'm usually meaner than that when it comes to games. Could have probably gotten you to switch and extorted some other player. Oh well!

------------------

Steve Nash [pg]
Ray Allen [sg]
Jason Kidd [pg]
Jason Richardon [g,sf]
Blake Griffin [pf/c]
JaVale McGee [pf/c]
Dwight Howard [c]
Emeka Okafor [c]
Metta World Peace [sg/sf/pf]
D.J. Augustin [pg]
bench:
Kris Humphries [pf]
Jodie Meeks [sg]
Richard Jefferson [sf]

I'd entertain a trade for Chris Paul, whoever has him. Dwight Howard was my first pick if you want him, and another player of your choice, as well as another for me to even it out.

I don't know, Irving, Ellis, Durant and Calderon will provide a lot of assist, if you pick them. Durant, Amare, Parker and Randolph sounds like a great first 4. Good luck!

Damn you got rebounds covered. You might win that everytime with Blake, Howard, McGee and Okafor.

You guys can set your lineups by the way. Just go to 25th December and make sure the players who are playing are not on the bench.

I still can't believe I took Howard and let you have Wade. I'm usually meaner than that when it comes to games. Could have probably gotten you to switch and extorted some other player. Oh well!

Which reminds me:

I can't believe I drafted Wade. I was away in the first five minutes, and I was ranked 7th while Wade is ranked 5th..

MANY thanks to those who skipped him (whatever the reason was), and whether it was intentional or not, it was a very pleasant surprise for me when I logged into the draft, 5 minutes after it started, seeing that I auto-drafted Wade for my first pick!

(P.S. I'm just happy for having Wade in my team for the fun factor, not because he gives me the edge in term of points scored in this game.)

I was away, but my rankings did a solid job. I was expecting a worse team. Here's what I ended up with:

John Wall
Andre Iguodala
James Harden
Hedo Turkoglu
Kevin Love
Serge Ibaka
Marc Gasol
Demarcus Cousins
Samuel Dalembert
Ricky Rubio
CJ Miles
Anthony Morrow
Paul George

My last three aren't great, but both Miles and Morrow can hits threes, and George is young and talented so may have improve. I'm expecting break out years from Harden and Cousins, and I think Wall will have a great year. I have a lot of rebounding, shot-blocking bigs. Would entertain a trade for Dalembert, or maybe Gasol, depending on what's on the table. Have to wait for Sammy D to sign with a team first though!

Marc Gasol, Love, Ibaka, Cousins and Dalembert is a fine rebound/block corp, should be interesting coming up against my group of Howard, Griffin, McGee, Okafor and World Peace/Kris Humphries.

I knew I would miss a good rookie, Rubio went way too late, I would have picked him had I thought of him.

Looking at your team, Josh Smith is the only one I'd be realistically interested in.

The problem is I think I'll be giving up too many points..

I'm also willing to offer Young for assists, if anybody is fancying him for a player with average of 6+ assists let me know..

Could I interest you in a trade for Chris Paul? I'd give you your choice of point guards, and any other player you want, for Paul and someone else, depending on who else you like.

I'd be surprised if Gasol doesn't average more points than Smith this season.

Haven't looked over your team, but if it's Thad Young you're talking about, the guy won't be averaging 6+ assists. Maybe you meant to say rebounds?

Called it TheDreamTeam and I ended up with a bunch of solid players.

Problem is your top pick is Howard and I'm quite stacked in the center department. If only you had a guard I would be more than happy to give you Paul and Ariza for Nash and your best player.

No I meant trade him FOR somebody with 6+ assists per game. I know he doesn't provide that many assists, I wanted to trade his rebounds for assists. Of course the other categories will have to be comparable too.

Not sure about Gasol scoring more than Smith though..

Ah, my mistake!

Well, if you change your mind I'll consider it.
