I'm a big fan of Wade, ever since he was drafted by Miami. I followed the Heat whenever I had the chance to watch him play. Lucky for me it wasn't for nothing, and in 2006 I was rewarded with my best NBA memories.
I hated Lebron until he joined the Heat, but there is still no doubt who my favorite player is.
My top hated teams are: Dallas, San Antonio, Houston (I have nothing against Texas, no really, just a freakish coincidence).
My top liked teams (in case Miami doesn't make it) are: Orlando, Lakers, Phoenix.

And someone asked about the scoring earlier. It varies for each league depending on the commissioner. If you want to see how your team will be given points, then register for the league, click on the 'League' tab and then you will see the standings. In the same box on the top right corner, you will see a tab called 'Head-to-Head stats'. If you click on it, it will you the things you team are graded on.

I lived in south Florida, back when the Heat were terrible, so I can't hate them too much. But I have family in Dallas so I was very happy to see the Mavs beat them, and to see the look on LeBron's face.

For people who haven't tried this game, there are 'mock drafts' that you can try where you can pick who ever you want and see how the drafting works.

Wade might be the best overall pick, he fills up so many stat boxes.
The league I played on NBA.com had something like 7 categories:
points
steals
blocks
rebounds
threes
shooting %
assists
Whoever won 4 out of 7 categories won the match up between the other league member you matched up to that week. So even if you beat the other guy by 300 points because you had all the top scorers, you'd lose the match up because that means your didn't have a well rounded team. That was my first problem, I had to trade to get some point guards for the assists and steals.
Not sure if this one is similar or not though.

You're lucky Wade isn't a Laker, Riley was quite correct, and clever, to refuse to trade Wade, who was only entering his 2nd season, in the Shaq trade.
Of course Shaq killed our leverage by demanding a warm weather trade, and we got Odom and someone else instead of Wade. Surely at that time, Shaq was worth Odom and Wade, but trading stars, you never get back fair value.
Yeah this is similar but it is better than the NBA.com one.
And no Wade is not the best overall pick. There is a reason why he is ranked 5th and not 1st.

If he is not injured. Portland have a very good team this time around. They have had enough time to gel, so they will do good this year.

Nope sorry that is something that is out of my reach. The computer automatically generates your draft pick HALF HOUR before the draft begins. Its the same for everyone. It sucks though, even I would like to know it before hand. You guys have half hour to decide which I think is plenty of time.
17th isn't a good date for me would prefer 18th or 19th as I've an exam on the 17th. But if that doesn't suit people I may be able to work it somehow.

Okay for now the draft time has been changed tentatively to the 18th of December but same time. If it does not work, then it will moved to the 16th of December. What ever happens we will have a draft either on the 16th or 18th of December.
Will the free agency window be closed by then? Damn, I can't even remember the details of when and how you can sign NBA players. Trades happen all year round, but I think there is a free agency window...
Free agency goes up until playoffs start. There's a trade deadline with a few months left in the season. That's when you'll see most players with less than a year on the contract get traded.
