NBA Yahoo Fantasy League 2011-2012

I would love those players. Everyone from my team is available bar the first three picks.

Unless Stoudemire is involved in the deal, I'd say a 3 for 2 trade is the only viable option, with Parker and Calderon both involved in the deal..

Do you think we can work something out?

If you include Deron Williams in that deal then I will think of giving you both.

I was trying to figure out a possible 3 for 2 trade, and I now proposed you the only thing I could come up with really..

Can anyone tell me why the week isn't over for the game? It's 8 days, counting two sundays? Is that usual, or will this be the only 8 day week?

I had made an adjustment because I thought there was only 1 more day, and now there's another!

Just so you don't feel bad reelword, if you *had* moved your players up it would have earned you an additional 2 three pointers, 62 points, 16 boards, 27 assists, 4 steals, 2 blocks and 17 turnovers. This would have put you ahead of me on points and assists, but caused you to fall behind on turnovers. So it *should* have been 5-4 with me winning instead of 6-3.

As is I squeaked by with 4 more points and 2 more assists but lost turnovers by 10.

It seems the scoring isn't quite like I thought. It seems that you simply get a win for each win in each category, and at the end of the season the person with the best record of wins and draws get the title.

So there's no point ignoring any particular category thinking that winning 5 of 9 will get you the win for the week, what matters is your overall category wins over the year, not whether or not you 'won' that week's match-up, which doesn't count for anything, really.

Never thought I'd be topping the league at any stage, but luck was on my side this time, as Dingeldoog doesn't seem to be active anymore..

Tough match up for me next, I think I'm gonna lose this one.

On a side note, what a turnaround for RDC in the extra day! From 3-6 to 6-3!

I'm still willing to trade McGee or Okafor if someone wants to make a big jump in blocks and rebounds. But I'll have to ask for a generous offer, these are the two guys, along with Howard, who can win you blocks basically by themselves.

I'd like McGee but not sure what deal would work. Have a look at my roster and see if you can come up with something realistic for me to consider.

What are you looking for? I want McGee.

Well, I can hardly blame you. After predicting he'd do well this year I completely forgot to draft him. I like watching the summer leagues to find rising stars, and he absolutely dominated the 2011 summer leagues. I couldn't have claimed to know he'd come on so strong so quickly, though.

I have to admit I think his stats will calm down, but I can see him averaging 19 points a game and near leading the league in 3's. But I'm pretty good for 3 pointers, so it's not a big need, more after the points, I'm on the low end compared to everyone else.

Steal in the 10th round, well done.

I'm not sure what to do there, he's currently ranked 21 in the league overall in fantasy points, I'm not sure you'd want to trade him at that value, and I think he's going to maintain his form, I predict a big improvement from last year. That would make Monta Ellis the closest player in value I'd be willing to take, and I doubt that would interest you.

I'd be willing to deal Okafor as well if you don't want to give up quite as much, he's got 9.2 boards and 1.8 blocks per game, just under McGee's 9.8 and 2.8. I'd be interested in Lou Williams or Calderon.

With Randolph out I imagine you need another PF/C.

 You're funny gooDevil. Monte Ellis for McGee? You can't look at everything by the ranking.

There aren't many players that can win you a category by themselves either. But I didn't think you'd be interested unless you were in more need of blocks than you are of points. For someone who was mediocre in blocks, getting McGee to mean them winning that category nearly every time from here on in. With Howard and Okafor I can afford to lose him if it can get me some wins in points.

I added him to your team this morning Danny. He will be available for selection tomorrow.

Wow, what a stat-line for Josh Smith last tonight! 25 points, 5 boards, 5 assists, 4 steals and 6 blocks with 1 turnover, 1 three pointer, perfect from the line and 65% shooting!

First big game from him this season, though. Very inconsistent, that whole Atlanta team.

Yeah, I really needed it with Wade out for three games now. :(

I think I am ready to give DeAndre Jordan and I will throw in Camby for good measure as well. Any takers?

Oh, and how do we feel about the playoffs? Being football fans, I think the *real* winner should be the one who wins the league. The *cup* goes to the winner of the playoffs.

Are we discussing bragging rights already?

Whatever I win is fine for me, but I don't think I'll win anything..

I still do think that the one who wins the league gets probably more credit than the one winning the cup.

Just a strategic question, should I keep a player I expect to get better later or not. I'm more interested in winning the league, so I'm probably gonna lose him.

Scoring seems to be down this year, a 15 point per game scorer is harder to find than usual! Can't believe I released DJ Augustine, he's having a fantastic season stat wise!
