NBA Thread 2013-2014

The Pacers look excellent, Paul George is some player, best draft pick by the Pacers since Reggie Miller....best Pacer player since Miller as well.

Good win for the Heat, rebounding is still a problem though.. Lebron needs to pick it up if he wants to win the MVP this year.

Looks like Phily are going to lose their next 50 games.. The cnuts!

Am rooting for the Rockets as usual. They've got a really good team this year after mucking about trying to find a way to reshape the roster over the past few seasons. Offensively it's good, but my god, have I seen a team less arsed about playing defence?

Wow! What a game! Blake the hero..

By the way, do you think the Lakers would have won it if Howard wasn't in the game in the last 3 minutes?

No way they would've won it if Howard's even a decent free throw shooter. 6/15 at any level is just unacceptable.

Really? Asik and Howard are excellent defenders.

Went and checked out the stats for the year, and it turns out it's not as bad as I thought. Harden gets blown by a lot obviously, but as a team they're actually somewhere around the middle of the park in terms of defensive efficiency, 12 out of 30. Interior wise they're probably fine whenever Asik and Howard play together, but still, pick and roll defense remains an issue due to Howard and Asik's reluctance in closing out and slow foot speed respectively, as well as Harden's reluctance to fight through picks.

Nice win for the Lakers. Bench scoring looks to be a lot better this season.

Anthony Davis is a beast already at 20, Paul George is a superstar, the next generation looks excellent.

So, the lakers are having a great first quarter...

My Suns has defied all the season predictions so far. 3rd best record in the league, with a bunch of cast off and role players. I don't know what Hornacek was doing but he's been fecking great so far.

Rose is struggling so far, I haven't got to catch a game yet hopefully will on Tuesday night.

I'm just waiting to see who'll get a triple double with rebounds, points and blocks first this season between Ibaka, Hibbert and Davis.

Nets being blown away. How long before Kidd gets sacked as coach?

It's shit the UK still doesn't have any TV deal.

Rose with another knee injury, a meniscus injury this time it seems..

So unlucky for him.. Would be really sad for such a talent to be wasted like that if those injuries keep ruining his career.

Rose done for the season. Very unlucky for the lad.

Meanwhile, Kobe has signed a contract extension with the Lakers. Should ensure he retires a Laker, not sure how this impacts our ability to go after a big name this off-season.

Just wondering, is it his ACL again? I remember all this #return done by Adidas and stuff, crazy shit this.

Torn meniscus. Really sad to hear. According to the reports I read...it would've taken him around 6-8 weeks if he was to go for repair. Why has he been ruled for the entire season? Really surprising news. Anyways hopefully he will recover. I guess pacers and miami it will be in east then.
