if AI was fit we would have won

east finals

;)

But is Iverson ever gona truly be fit? What he has to put his tiny body through just for Philly to be competitive is unreal. And it gets more physical in the playoffs.

BTW Houston would be #3 or 4 seed if they were in the East with their record. As it is we're scrapping for the last place in the West!

Ratliff
Skinner
Spree
AI
Snow

now that would take us to a new level

iverson has hardly missed a game all season

Skinner didn't impress me tonight.

Who would that leave you with on the bench?

nah it wasnt his best

MacCulloch
kennyT
Buckner
John Salmons
Rentzias
monty if he can ever get fit

i just hope larry makes the trades, the rumors in ny are getting huge

how long do you think he will wait?

wait for what? make a trade? I think a lot of action usually happens over the All Star weekend.

yea trades

he shouldnt leave it till the last minute

anyway with the team we got we should still catch boston

you making any trades?

I can't see us making any trades unless we can get someone really special.

I'm thinking Francis + Ming for DC + Snow.

But I don't think Larry is dumb enough to let us rob him like that!

we would let you keep Francis

not good enough for us

lol Francis aint half the player he is

remember when he droped 58 yes 58 points on you?

now that was nice ;)

Strangely I don't remember that one! I do remember us blowing you out on your home court and then Larry Brown throwing a hissy fit.

Honestly, I think Francis wins a ring before Iverson, though. We're more set to compete in the future than you are IMO.

you cant remember the 58 game? it was a night after kobe hit 56 then AI beat that

remember now? thought not, lol

58 he scorched your whole team

at this stage you are but if larry makes the right trades it will set us up nice

I bet Francis was out with his migraine trouble and Moochie frickin Norris was "guarding" Iverson.

STEVE FRANCIS G 50 5-20 0-2 3-4 3 7 10 7 5 0 7 0 13
CUTTINO MOBLEY G 44 8-15 4-5 5-9 1 3 4 1 5 1 1 0 25
KENNY THOMAS F 42 9-13 0-0 2-4 2 6 8 2 3 2 3 1 20
WALT WILLIAMS F 16 3-7 0-2 0-0 0 4 4 1 4 0 1 1 6
KELVIN CATO C 22 5-6 0-0 3-4 3 3 6 2 0 1 0 0 13

your starting 5 that game

ALLEN IVERSON G 49 58points bitch
;)

Yep, just loooked it up myself. Still, you better put up 58 if you take 42 shots! WTF is that all about!!

And it still took overtime to beat a team that at that time was 12-24!

scorched like a cnut

francis couldnt handle him

and just looked it up francis shot 5 of 20 and 7 TO

58

lucky that stops francis getting blow away by 50 plus from better players

kobe put down 46 on him aswell

is there a point to all this? Are you going to find every player who puts up big numbers against Houston?

BTW Francis doesn't guard Bryant, Mobley does.

Now this is interesting...

A couple of radio stations(ESPN and FoxSports I think) are talking about a rumour that takes Elton Brand to the Rockets!!

it just makes me feel better thinking of the team that season insted of this one

larry traded a great team away for some reason

sigh

Matter of fact, the Sixers nearly re-acquired Ratliff a week ago in a multi-team transaction that involved Derrick Coleman, whose guarantee expires at season's end.

Negotiations abruptly ended, I'm informed, when chairman Ed Snider decided against assuming the two years (almost $24M) remaining on the 6-10 defensive presence's contract unless Keith Van Horn's three-year, $43M obligation could be simultaneously unloaded - that was good news for Dikembe Mutombo, who would have been compelled to move his family out of Theo's humble abode in Philly.

Orlando and Toronto appear to be Ratliff's most ardent suitors. The Magic are offering No. 1 draft picks galore and additional insignificance. Mournfully, Grant Hill would be appealing to Atlanta (and others), but only if his tortured ankle requires him to apply for a medical discharge. The Raptors, who unsuccessfully made a play for Rasheed Wallace (Tony Davis and Hakeem), also offered Hakeem Olajuwon's official retirement papers and Lindsey Hunter for Ratliff.

Looking to add a scorer, the Lakers are interested in Latrell Sprewell, but they are now thinking about going the cheaper route. They've talked to the Hawks about Jason Terry, who makes $2.1 million, and to Indiana about Ron Mercer, who is at $6.75 mil. In both cases, they're bargains compared to Spree's $12.3 mil. The Hawks' dumping of backup point guard Mike Wilks this past week is intended to open up a roster spot in case they have to take back an extra player in potential trades involving Glenn Robinson and/or Shareef Abdur-Rahim

so that fecks up our trade options

my hate for the lakers will grow if they get spree

Feck me I would take any of those trades!

The Lakers with Spree would be great!

Won't happen though...

Rookie Wall
Want to see a preview of the Rockets' NBA-title teams from '05 '08? Check out the box score from Houston's 105-89 dismantling of the Webber-less Kings: Griffin 22 pts, Francis and Mobley 21 pts each, Yao 18 pts, 11 reb, 6 ast, 4 blocks. The only "wall" Yao is experiencing is as anchor of a "Block Party" team defense that recorded a season-high 13 swats. But the biggest party will come Sunday, when Rick Adelman plays Yao and Shaq together at some point during the All-Star Game with Garnett. Best ... frontcourt ... ever.

Niiiiiiiiiiiiiiiice.

We're on telly again in a day or two. Looking forward to that.

In fact I was wrong - it's your lot on telly tonight Ruddy. I'll catch that tomorrow and avoid this thread before.

As for us, our bogey team struck again last night, without Webber.

Lakers beat the Pacers,

Rockets lose, its getting interesting...

Just read that Rigadeau (new Mavs signing from France) came on and fecked up last night. Then read that the theory about him is that the Mavs will sell shirts in France that will make his 300k salary seem like money well spent. Not if they bring him on in big games and he fecks up it won't though.

Marketing genius!!!

I should have said a theory rather than the theory. Still.......
