Spree could be great though, aggressive, tough, and a good scorer, could play 2 gaurd or SF.

nice to see AI and TMAC offering to give up there all star staring places to jordan

very classy move

I wouldn't mind us getting Shareef Abdur Rahim from Atlanta if they're open to offers.

very good player

you could get anyone from atlanta right now

He's one of those guys who will put up nearly 20 points and 10 rebounds a game and hardly anyone will notice.

Doubt they'll want Mo Taylor + scrub off us though.

"Two years ago, the Sixers gambled that surrendering Ratliff to Atlanta would be worth the price. Even if it meant others would follow his exodus. Less than two years later, it appears they have sold their souls. They've been talking to Atlanta for weeks about trading away Derrick Coleman's final $9.3 million salary for Ratliff and his remaining 21/2 seasons at $30 million. They talked to the Knicks about trading Keith Van Horn for Latrell Sprewell. Before that, it was Van Horn to Orlando for injured Grant Hill, months after vowing that Van Horn was the answer to their prayers'

so DC and KVH for theo and spree

not sure id want KVH to leave

by the way what do you all think of Ron Artest,i think hes great but i can see why alot hate the guy,did you see what he did the other night? <img src="graemlins/lol.gif" border="0" alt="[Laugh Out Loud]" />

I saw Artest in high school and un college at St. Johns. He hates losing and will run through a brick wall to win. He broke Jodan's ribs in a pick up game because Jordan was talking smack. I love him as a competitor and wish that the Knicks had drafted him instead of Frederic Weist. Artest is a little bit crazy though.

Sprewell and Houston are probably not going anywhere. The Kniocks are moving towards a playoff spot and haven't been that bad since Sprewell came back. And there's still some hope that McDyess can come back this year. Kurt Thomas has been playing pretty well (he's kind of crazy too).

I hope the Knicks lose out and get their hands on Lebron James. The NBA would probably be interested to have James playing in a market like New York instead of Denver or Cleveland.

Sort of like when the Knicks won the lottery and got Patrick Ewing - everyone yelled fix. But the Knicks are too dumb a team to get James, much as everyone here would like to see it. They should have kept Hillario this year after they drafted him. They would have struggled, but then might have had a shot at James. Instead the Knicks win just enough to stay mediocre because there's only about 6 really good players every year in the draft. I think Golden State is building the right way.

The NBA is screwed up so much that trades are almost impossible to make. You have to trade the exact salary amount otherwise they don't work. That's one reason why the Knicks can't trade Sprewell or Houston. Not that anybody would want Houston anyway because he's owed $100 million on his contract.

the sounds coming out of philly is that they want both spree and theo

and brown has been working on both deals for 2 weeks

we are in need of a blocker like theo in a big way

I'm not crazy about Van Horn. If I were the Knicks I'd probably trade Houston for him though. Spree and Houson play the same position so they don't need both. Van Horn doesn't rebound enough to really help the Knicks that much. But I guess that he could play small forward when McDyess comes back.

Spree and AI on the same team? That could kill Brown.

allan houston is a player i´d love to kill sometimes ..

i was kinda surprised to see houston get yao ming as i fully expected the knicks to win the lottery ... and the lottery is rigged.

im not really interested in the nba anymore. the strike put me off big time and ive yet to forgive them but i have a spot for the knicks and im happy to see how well nowitzki is doing in dallas.

"Van Gundy, an analyst on TNT, said during last night's Dallas-Minnesota game that neither Shaquille O'Neal nor Kobe Bryant should be All-Stars. He said the league should not let players from teams with records below .500 make the team, and that the Los Angeles Lakers' 19-23 record should make the two ineligible. "What have they done that's so spectacular to help their team be four games under .500?" he said."

"An Eastern Conference source said the Raptors may offer the contract of quasi-retired Hakeem Olajuwon, veteran guard Lindsey Hunter and other salary cap ballast to pry away the 29-year-old Ratliff from Atlanta."

He has a point. But Shaq was hurt for quite few games early in the year and they were further under .500. He looks a little out of shape now. Outside of possibly Fox the Lakers don't really have anybody else that's any good. I'd still put Shaq and Kobe on the AS team. Who did he want to replace them with?

Lakers 124 Kings 113

Who's laughing now Ruudy?

<img src="graemlins/lol.gif" border="0" alt="[Laugh Out Loud]" />

Philadelphia 104, Miami 99

if only the van horn AI combo would work like that every night

iverson_030131.jpg

we know why you won nate, who wasnt on the court for the kings again?

celtics <img src="graemlins/lol.gif" border="0" alt="[Laugh Out Loud]" />

i think we can catch them

but AI got injured in the 4th and might miss sundays game

you didnt manage to do any damage to KG did you sid? ;)

Cool idea Sid - is it the top 8 from each conference?

yes its top 8

it looks like its either sid or nate then for that final place

Garnett had an off night against us. Maybe he'll rebound tomorrow night. I hope not though!

I think from Minnesota down will be in a dogfight for playof spots. They're only a game above us. Plus we play Utah twice in the next week or so. We could drag them into it.

NYpost is today reporting that the knicks are gonna do some big trades before the deadline

SCOTT Layden, sources say, is telling club executives throughout the NBA the Knicks absolutely intend to make a major trade before the Feb. 20 deadline. "We know we have to do something, so make us your best offer."

A number of teams would love to call Kurt Thomas (Orlando, Memphis, etc.) and Latrell Sprewell (76ers) their very own (based on skill),

PG-Snow
SG-Iverson
SF-Spree
PF-KVH
C- T mac

looks like its getting close

theres rumours of a rasheed wallace/antonio davis swap doing the round up here...

Ruddy, are your boys gonna pull their fingers out of their ass or what!

A t-wolves loss would help our cause greatly!

Sacramento 45
Houston 71

with 7.00 remaining in the third

they're coming back slowly though <img src="graemlins/nervous.gif" border="0" alt="[Nervous]" />

I was hoping they'd yank their starters and call it a night.

Ruddy,

Van Horn is crap. You should try and get rid of him but I don't think you can seeing as he's only just been traded.

trading Eric Snow would be a mistake IMO. Maybe get rid of McKie instead.

like i said van horn, mckie and DC should go

DC had a good game but we need someone who can score and offencive rebound badly

van horn stunk it up tonight

i feckin hate the timberwovles the one man team bastards

Both Minny and Philly are in the same boat...

one superstar + scrubs = first round exit
