Without Jordan the game wouldn't be what it is today.

The best sportsman ever, nobody can touch the man, whatever sport they are involved in IMO.

Yeah but he could act with a little more humility imo. He sounded as though despite them offering and him saying no, that they should offer again the opportunity, insist even, that he play. Having said previously that it was those players who'd earned the starting spot and that he didn't need to start another game because he had done so already in 13 all star games, his attitude was too arrogant for my liking.

Well he is an arrogant cnut, always has been, might act all nice etc but really he has the heart of real fighter and you can bet he really would have loved to have dominated that game and showed the young guys a thing or two, but times in the end have changed and he is nothing like the old Jordan.

Not even Muhammed Ali?

looks like things are back on

Two weeks ago, it looked like the Hawks were the team most likely to blow up their entire roster. But after talking to numerous league sources in Atlanta this weekend, a new contender has emerged.

We all know Larry Brown loves to tinker, but is he on the verge of dropping a bomb on the Sixers? Team owner Ed Snider is pushing hard for Brown to fix the problem. Like the Hawks of a few weeks ago, the underachieving Sixers are being mentioned prominently in several major trade rumors.

Here's the lowdown:

Brown still is pushing to swap Derrick Coleman for Theo Ratliff. However, to get it done, he must appease Snider, who wants Brown to cut one of the Sixers' terrible salaries before taking on the final two years of Ratliff's salary. That's lead to ...

The Sixers and Knicks apparently are rekindling the Latrell Sprewell-Keith Van Horn talks. If the Sixers made that move, they'd clear $15.7 million in cap room in the long term. Spree has just two years left on his deal, while Van Horn has three. The biggest question is why the Knicks would make that move now, after CEO James Dolan told GM Scott Layden no more bad contracts.
There's no great answer, other than to say Layden is a fan of Van Horn, and Dolan isn't in love with Spree. Layden believes the Knicks have to get taller and younger, and Van Horn is an upgrade in both categories. A lineup featuring Allan Houston, Van Horn and Antonio McDyess probably would fare a little better in the East, especially if it includes the addition of a lottery-pick big man and their 2002 second-round pick, point guard Milos Vujanic.

Moving both Coleman and Van Horn would dramatically remake the Sixers front line.

Kobe for MVP!!!

Lakers win again, this time over the Knicks, five wins in a row now.

Sid your fecked mate.

Kobe's making a case for it. But, I think someone like Kevin Garnett is making an even stronger case for MVP. Kevin Garnett is the more consistent player and he is living up to his billing as one of the most talented and powerful players. He commands almost every game he plays. Catching 13 rebounds a game, scoring about 25 points a game, and also I believe getting around 6 assists. KG is my MVP.

Clear? Bollox, the playoffs count for loads in the long run.

yet you say kobe but hes only started playing some good ball since shaq came back

webber shits all over kobe so far

In the truest sense of the word, Garnett is the MVP.

Take him off that team and what have you got? 15 wins max?

Yes, but garnett's team has got the better record in the better conference.

Lakers destroy the Nuggets.

Another 42 for Bryant!

Oh and the Rockets lost again!

We can't close a game out for toffee. We were 3 points up with 3 seconds left, and instead of fouling, we let Harpring shoot a 3. he makes it and we lose in overtime.

in the closing minutes we are terrible.

Trading deadline near. Talk is that Spree may have played his last game as a Knick as the Knicks look to get younger and longer. As mentioned here, Van Horn would work as both Spree and Van Horn make the same $10 million salary per year.

Knicks figure that their point guard next year will be Europe's leading scorer who plays on the Belgrade team and with a team of Houston, Van Horn, Thomas and McDyess plus a good draft pick they can be a good team.

Lakers beat the Nuggets again!

51 for Bryant this time.

7 straight wins Ruddy, 51 points, averaging 42 points in the last few games...

You having trouble with finding 6 players under 30m Ruddy? ;)

<img src="graemlins/lol.gif" border="0" alt="[Laugh Out Loud]" />

yea its hard

i find a superstar then two good cheap players who will score but then still dont have alot of money left

You have noted that you only get 2 trades a week and I see you've already used 1! Pen and paper Ruddy ;)

i know i fecked it up last night

but now i have managed to get kobe and AI in the same team while still having some other decent players in there aswell

AI + Kobe = point city

You wanna get it done this afternoon too, all three of you, that way we'll all start at 0 pts tonight - I think mine must have happened too late last night to make the deadline as I have no points.

I can't view your team mate - can you view mine?

Done mine, but can't see anyone elses team?

I tried getting a team together last night. Really hard!

Should do it by tonight though.

Me too, 30m is tough and I don't wanna pick scrubs!

Its gonna take me a while to get the hang of this game I think.

I think we need to wait until we have all completed our rosters prior to a roster freeze, then once that's done we should be able to view each others' teams the following day. I fired them off an email anyway though I doubt they'll respond too quickly.

Make another team Nate - you can have as many as you like it seems. 2 would be enough though eh?
