NBA 2023-2024

The thing about Jokic is that he's an honest player. No fake outrage or flopping, so he gets nothing. Curry's been grabbed off the ball and mauled at the basket for years but goes to the free throw line much less than would be expected compared to a Harden or an Embiid who cry and flop all the time and so live at the line.

That is one reason why I like Jokic because of that part of his game.
Yeah, the bitchy wheel gets the grease. I’m very glad the players with rings of those you mention are the ones with the rings

NBA officials are just like PL officials. Utterly useless.

We had a 6 point lead. Refs ignore two fouls in consecutive possessions, both end with the Clippers hitting 3s, including the Harden dagger 4 point play that effectively killed the game.

I mean come on

That's outrageous.

Yea i agree, on other hand its a positive when playoffs comes, because whistle changes a bit and your game/numbers didnt depend on getting 20 FTs per game in regular. No wonder Embiid numbers drop in playoffs, getting less calls and there is gameplan aim at you and there you go.

Back to Jokic and Denver, think they are number one team in points in paint and 28th in FTsl lul, shit just silly.

One of the oddest things I've ever seen.

It just led to the fans booing even more afterwards. Not sure alienating your own fans(who used their hard earned money to watch) is a wise move.

If it was a player on the Spurs being booed, I'd get it. But throwing a fuss for fans simply booing a player on the opposing team is incredibly soft compared to much worse fan-actions.

It is time for coach Pop to retire. His heart just isn't in the competitive basketball anymore. Imagine coach in Greece, Serbia or Turkey saying that to the fans haha. NBA is a theater enough already.

That deteriorated pretty fast. Good game to blow out in 5 minutes.

What a weird game.

I like Podziemski a lot, he’s a lot of fun. Can’t spell his name though

Feels like it, the way the Spurs are playing is amateurish.

Right move by Pop. Why would they even boo Kawhi in the first place? Classless.

Because they believe that he acted like a diva before living and put Spurs in a situation where they got nothing in a trade which essentually put an end to their domination.

Hmm, seems I can't really remember that whole saga anymore. It was when he sat out a lot of games without any further explanation about his "injury" and was angry with them about the treatment, right? Odd story, did it ever come out what exactly happened?

Still though, he was a key player (and Finals MVP) in their last championship run.

He picked up an injury, believed that it was Spurs fault(unhappy with the initial diagnose) and treated the organization poorly, he allegedly unilaterally decided to not rehab and communicate with the organization and eventually forced a trade . And Spurs aren't the Timberwolves, they have a fair amount of titles that last one won't override the fact that their fans belief that he disrespected their franchises.

I totally get why Spurs fans would boo him or in general not like him and it makes even more sense when you consider that his alleged behavior hasn't changed with the next franchises.

I always hated Josh Giddey, that guy cost me a
quadruple double on 2k22 when he bricked an open 3.
It'll be interesting to see how the NBA deals with this situation coming right on the heels of the Wander Franco saga.

Denver vs Rockets, kinda confused, not sure i ever seen such shit, soo Denver bench zero points, zero points in non Jokic minutes in 1st half, how the feck is that even possible

Similar thing happened last time we played them. Nuggets are missing Murray badly. I don’t even know how this is a 15 point game. We should be up by 30 if it wasn’t for Jokic being absurdly good.

Someone other than Jokic needs to step up a little.

As much as i'm enjoying the more positive start to the season for the Pacers, these scorelines are beginning to get beyond ridiculous. Yeah, it was bad in the early 00s, but it looks like we're reaching the opposide extreme of the spectrum now. No in-season tournament can prevent more and more matches looking like exhibition games.

You have to love the work Udoka has done with this team. Obviously adding a couple of vets like Brooks, FVV and Uncle Jeff has helped but he’s gotten an incredible defensive tune out of Jalen Green, Jabari and Sengun too.

The turnaround after tanking for 3 years has been great to watch.

Yeah, you've been really impressive this season and the transformation was done practically over night. Shows you what a good coach and few good team additions can do for a talented young core.

Yeah and it feels like it can be sustainable because we aren’t winning games by having hot shooting streaks. We’re playing hard defense. We’ve kept teams to under 100 points in almost half the games so far, with the obvious caveat that a lot of the teams we’ve played have had stars missing.

Celtics displayed similar traits under Udoka. Who knew all Dillon needed was a no-nonsense coach (not Taylor Jenkins) to rein in his worst habits?

I still need to know what Udoka did that was so bad (apart from cheating on Nia) that they got him out of there...

Watched you 2 times this season against Lakers and Clippers on the road. Despite narrow loses you can see it is simply a good basketball team where everyone know their role and contributes in both directions (massive credit to Udoka as you said). FVV is great in running the offence, really, really like how Sengun is developing and kill me but I like Dillon Brooks as well.. Too much friendliness in the game nowadays so I don't mind his character while as a basketball player he is definitely underrated.

Nuggz in crisis. Aaron Gordon and MPJ are playing like crap. Only KCP and Jokic are producing at their normal level. Bench is the worst in the league.

Only pleasant surprise is Reggie Jackson.

Hey, Udoka cheating on Nia Long just might be one of the greatest moments in Rockets history. It’ll go in the HoF.

Seriously though, I hope it’s no more than standard cheating. I know it involved a subordinate which is a awful situation. I don’t think we’ll ever know though, unless it’s leaked.

Anyone heard a joke from Kevin Hart about going out with NBA players and the bill.

Well i just sat down to check results and had to check few sites because i couldnt believe that Clippers lost vs that Denver team where MPJ had 8 points and RJ + DJ did that in 2023. What the feck

Not only Murray, Jokic and Gordon did not play. KCP, MPJ and Braun had bad games. Game was won by has beens and two of them were Clippers players haha.
Maybe Jokic is the problem they play bad on the road. Time to bench him.

Makes me feel better about beating Denver twice without Murray. There was always the caveat in the back of my head that they would wipe the floor with us if Murray was available. Now I'm thinking, maybe we're just that good

DeAndre playing well I can understand is a surprise, but why are people forgetting Reggie Jackson is still a really good player who can ball out from time to time? Wasn't a while ago he was averaging 15+ ppg.

Yeah. Rockets are good. Make sure Udoka stays away from the ladies that work there.
