Yeah, that's a fair point. They also want Dragic, so that'll affect their ability to keep Brunson around. It all depends on whether they can sign Brunson because if they can't afford him and then lost him, it's all worthless.

It is possibly the most interesting regular season in a long time. The play-in invention alone has made it far more exciting, there are like 6 teams tanking currently where normally you would have 10-11 who would be gone by now.The NBA really is trying it’s best year after year to make the regular season even more pointless.
Dragic will be gone after the season anyway. However having Luka, Dinwiddie, Bertans, Brunson, THJ, DFS all on substantial contracts and probably being well into the tax for a team that has zero chance of competing is probably not the best idea. It will take several picks to get off Dinwiddie, Bertans and THJ too. That’s a terribly constructed roster and waste of Luka.Yeah, that's a fair point. They also want Dragic, so that'll affect their ability to keep Brunson around.
Out of the current group then I’d say most of the better rookies/sophomores/third year players (LaMelo, Edwards, Mobley, Cade, Garland etc.) and the younger players on good teams like Booker, Giannis, probably Trae and Ja. The good young players are under teams control for 8 years so that helps. If you were gonna buy a jersey, how many players in the league do you really believe will definitely be with the same team in 4 years?
Better to get a retro jersey or get your own name.

I am not so sure. Harden is most probably not the player that will win you a championship as well.Morey won.
Still need to see Simmons back at Philly that first game. I'll drive down if need be
He can't, by definition.I am not so sure. Harden is most probably not the player that will win you a championship as well.
If KD returns and if Kyire can play every game, the Nets might have a chance to surprise everyone.
Unless you're a Kings or Knicks fan.Out of the current group then I’d say most of the better rookies/sophomores/third year players (LaMelo, Edwards, Mobley, Cade, Garland etc.) and the younger players on good teams like Booker, Giannis, probably Trae and Ja. Kings seem happy to pay the minimum and soak up that sweet NBA cash, like they were the Glazers in The Super League. I won't he surprised if they let Fox go, they don't seem interested in competing.Unless you're a Kings or Knicks fan.
Knicks haven't extended any rookie they drafted since almost forever.
If Kings can trade Hali, nobody is safe I'll bet they'll end up drafting another guard this summer and end up trading Fox and Mitchell because that's how they roll.
Edit: last Knicks rookie that got extended with them was in 94, which means the Knicks haven't given any of their own rookies an extension for longer than most of the young players have been alive.
Players that won the trade.
OKC players. They all basically get a bonus because OKC didn't hit the minimum salary floor
Don't know how they split it though. If it's split according to the % of the salary cap they're affecting, his bonus is going to be low.Dort's bonus will likely be more than his actual contract.
I think Harden's actions are completely justified - I don't think people will or should be particularly upset with him.I get all the bad feelings towards Harden. But wouldn't you be pissed off too if the guy you rely on to help you win the championship choose to only be available half the time?
What a feck up.I'm going to New York at the end of February, and excitedly bought tickets to Celtics vs. Nets. At this rate it's looking like I'm not going to see any of the big three.
He bailed on Houston last year to get to Brooklyn and after less than a year there stopped trying to get a move to Philadelphia. If he wanted a trade then that's fine but the lack of application from him during games is really bad. Plus it's hardly a shock that Kyrie has turned out to be unreliable, there were years of evidence beforehand that indicated that there would be an issue with him again at some stage.I get all the bad feelings towards Harden. And Dame of course. Mr. Loyalty.

To be fair, Durant was quite healthy last year in the playoffs, and it was Harden and Kyrie who got injured. He went there under the assumption that he would not have to do everything like he had in Houston towards the end. Turned out they'd be relying on him even more because Durant would be always injured and Kyrie would be always dumb. Apparently did not enjoy life in NY either, I think it's fair for him to approach the franchise and ask for a trade while they could still get something for him. Phila would have got him for nothing in the Summer.

I actually think him wanting to leave now is fine, it's more the way he's gone about it (the clips of him just putting in no effort, being out of shape etc.) having done the same last year. It just makes the regular season very unsatisfactory when stars aren't playing or aren't applying themselves. He went there under the assumption that he would not have to do everything like he had in Houston towards the end. It's because KD and Kyrie both have gotten their rings. Their motivation for winning a ring isn't as high as just doing whatever the feck the want.At this point I truly believe that Kyrie is just pure poison and Durant is the only person in the world who - for some odd reason - can stand him for longer than minutes at a time. I don't blame Harden one bit to want out of that stillborn superteam. I'd be fecking livid if my co-max-player who lured me there got paid while sitting on his arse for half a season reading conspiracy bullshit.

That part was predicted by a number of people. By the sound of it, it seems that he would only enjoy, Las Vegas, Florida or Texas.
Las Vegas has awful strip clubs.
