Jokic will win them 3 games by himself. They're rightly favorites to advance I think but series could easily go 7.
Depends on the pundits you listen to. Anybody from the 'mainstream media' will be shock-jock shit-stirrers more interested in drama and narrative than anything else. I usually find the local beat-writers from specific teams are the most insightful. Obviously guys like Zach Lowe are pretty good on a national level.
It's basically WWE, it's all entertainment and nothing substantial.
They just easily beat us by 19 though. Portland also has clear weaknesses that don’t work well against this Denver team. Hoping we can grab the two home games though.
Portland has no one who can guard Jokic. That is going to be a problem.
He will score 30+ a night. Nobody can guard him anyway, not just Nurkic. So will Dame as Denver have no one capable of guarding him. Likewise CJ and Porter will get their points as well as nobody can guard them either. It’s about how rest of those teams will perform: Covington, Nurkic, Powell vs Campazzo, Rivers, Gordon plus bench. I think Blazers have slightly more depth but not sure if enough.
I guess its mainly the mainstream media which is culprit. While the TNT crew is better but they also are light on actual analysis.

I googled it and it was after the last game of the series. But yes, that game 1 brainfart by JR Smith was woeful. Shades of Webber calling a timeout he didn't have.

I think Gordon did a decent job on Dame in the second half.
AD and Howard did a decent enough job on Jokic last season in the playoffs though tbf we are talking about two of the best defensive bigs of this generation.

Yea but think it will be way different vs Portland away, if those 3s from DL from last night happened on home court, certain Denver players would crumble under pressure. We shall see i guess, still believe Portland should win series at the end because Denver lacks more than Portland overall.
Barkley made a good point about how Portland will adjust to Denver putting Gordon on Dame by making him run around screens a bit more instead of trying to heat him 1 on 1 off the dribble. Shame Denver are missing a couple big pieces, they'd be a legit championship threat otherwise.
They would get past us comfortably with Murray to be fair. Could maybe even win the West.
AD got demolished. He simply was just as unstoppable at the other end. Howard did a good job in like 2 games by gooning it up and getting under his skin, getting him into foul trouble, and got demolished in the other 3

Watching Nets-Celtics, second quarter. The Nets have stepped up a level, this is what everyone assumed they’d be capable of. Looking so creative and varied on offence, will be incredibly hard to beat if they can continue like this.

As good as Luka has been, you really have to credit the supporting staff for closing games out. THJ again with a clutch 3 at the end, Luka just dominates the first 3 quarters and in the fourth the rest of the team takes over.

The Clippers need some injuries to bail them out. Luka just loves going against this lot. The clippers have a cut and paste offense that just wont work.

He never had the chance to, Luka forced switches on pretty much every possession Kawhi was on him. He's also the only clipper defender Luka doesn't score on easily though, so that's a problem for the clippers...
Kawhi's got to fight threw those screens then. But he can't do that and be an offensive force as well.

) and put up 40 points. They're just not as good as everybody thinks, even though on paper they have a great team.
