NBA 2019-2020

Randle to Knicks, $63million / 3 years. That’s actually not that terrible. He’s a decent player.

This probably moves that roster from 20 to 25 wins next season.

I am actually shocked Knicks were not the ones to have given Rozier that contract.

Hornets are super dumb though.

Chris Haynes is reporting that Kevin Durant and the Nets are considering a sign and trade with the Dubs.

As a fan I don't care how much it costs Lacob (he can afford it with the new Chase Center) but Steph and Draymond are gonna need some help until Klay gets back.

How much cap space is freed up by Durant leaving?

Randle 2 Year deal with the third being a team option makes it not a bad deal and gives them a lot of flexibility. Also he is a good solid youngish piece so I like it BUT when you got teased with getting Kyrie and KD it really does feel like a let down.

The move for Randle in itself was not a bad one at all.

Dolan not offering a max deal to KD...Oh boy.. On one hand you have many doctors allegedly saying Knicks did a good job not gambling on a 32 years old Durant fresh out the worst injury you could of gotten BUT on the other hand its KD and you throw him the Max and let him sit on the shelf for a year. I think the Knicks were scared of pulling a Knicks and maxing out KD to not get the same player back so instead they pulled a Knicks and didnt get KD...Oh the Knicks...

On the positive side (so I don't kill myself) the Knicks do have some good young players to slowly build around and if they somehow got DLO along with having Randle,Mitch RJB, and Knox and DSJ I would take it.

Should I drink 2 cups of bleach or 3 just to be sure?

At least Klay is done.

Guard Klay Thompson has agreed to sign a five-year maximum contract with the Warriors worth $190 million, league sources have confirmed with The Chronicle.

The New York Times was first to report the news.

Before free agency opened Sunday, the Warriors offered Thompson the max. Thompson, not surprisingly, accepted on the spot.

So another season where there's no hope of making the playoffs. Yay. From Kyrie and KD to Randle...

I think it might be if Simmons can figure out how to score in the playoffs. Butler was running the offense in crucial moments last year.
Yeah I wanted to retain Butler and not Tobias precisely because of how Butler stepped up during the playoffs.
Been waiting for Simmons to do that for a couple of seasons now so not sure if he will ever

Knicks president Steve Mills addressed fans in the aftermath of Durant's commitment to the Nets in a statement released Sunday night.

"While we understand that some Knicks fans could be disappointed with tonight's news, we continue to be upbeat and confident in our plans to rebuild the Knicks to compete for championships in the future, through both the draft and targeted free agents," Mills wrote.

The Knicks later amended the statement to also include compete for titles by "continuing to build around our core of young players"

New York followed up the Randle agreement by striking a two-year, $20 million deal with 10-year veteran free agent Taj Gibson, agent Mark Bartelstein said.

:wenger:

Russell to Warriors is super interesting. It’s Kawhi or nothing for Lakers really. By dragging this saga and giving them hope Kawhi could potentially really, really screw them. By Wednesday everyone will be gone!

Hahahahaha Knicks also signed Portis to an offer sheet. Somebody go tell them him, Randle and Gibson play the same position.

Sixers have done great I feel. Horford at that deal for this long might come back to haunt them in the long run, but signing Butler to a 4 or 5 year deal would have hurt them in 3 years as well. Getting Josh Richardson is awesome, he’s exactly the sort of player they should have been targeting.

Will Russell stay in GS? Do they need him?

It really is Kawhi or die for Lakers. Either they are super confident they can get him or they are risking a lot by waiting on his decision. By Wednesday all the good free agents will be gone. Hell, even Reggie Bullock is gone already!

Iguodala will be bought out by Grizzlies I bet. That would open the door for Lakers to get him too.

Is it 50/50 between them and Toronto?

He hasn't been traded. I'm disappointed.

Clippers also very good chance. I'd say 40% Toronto, 30% Clippers and unfortunately 30% Lakers (would have said 5% last week).
