NBA 2018-2019

Ugh that hero ball 3 attempt at the end is going to haunt me. Just feckin drive it in for a layup or get the foul.

It was terrible. They had it rolling and Kerr didn't want to use his last timeout. No need to give them the chance to regroup.

This is not even hindsight. When he called it I was scratching my head...

That backcourt violation by Green was criminal, warriors deserved to lose for that.

Kawhi was on fire and Nurse allowed the warrior to adjust their defense. Awful move..

Exactly. Either they win or score 1 of 2 FTs to tie the game. I don’t know what they were thinking!!

Seems pretty clear that KD has done something major this time
It beggars belief how they’d allow him to play.

He’s going into free agency with a potentially length injury that’s difficult to properly recover from.

I suppose from a twisted sense it’s good news for the warriors since I can see him being more inclined to sign a new contract with them.

Wow just wow. Shook on this game! a HUGE win for GSW. They showed the heart of champions but I still think Toronto will win it now that KD is out. When he was win you just felt the confidence in the warriors and it looked like he was on his way to 30+. Absolutely gutted and just sad to be honest to see what happened to KD killed my mood for a lot of the game but this win was huge. I can't see GSW losing in Oracle in there final ever game there but the Raptors will win it in 7.

@Sarni it could be similar to OKC in 2016. This time Raptors have the home court advantage with a Game 7 though (assuming GSW win Game 6). I can see it going seven but I think Toronto will take the second chance to close it out at home.

I also feel he might resign with them now. I just hope when he comes back he is still the same KD:(

They had to throw the dice, and KD wanted to play.

I don't think that it will be a problem for him getting the max even if he missed the beginning of next season. He is not Cousins, teams will go after him. I think now that he is gonna stay at Warriors though.

I’m still hoping Kawhi beasts again at the Oracle, and the raptors actually reach a 3pt % akin to a professional basketball team. I don’t think my heart can take game 7.

This is really like OKC 2016. Warriors have to be favorites now.
If they get to 7 games you would have to like GSW chances in a closeout game with there championship experience and metal HOWEVER I feel Toronto will win it now with no KD.

Uncharacteristic final 3 minutes from the raptors.

Nurse called a timeout to give the players an extra rest but it just killed the momentum.

Shame. Onto game 6.

It's a tough situation tbh . Kerr would never play him if there was a chance of injury but NBA has superstars and having worked so hard for 7 months KD would obviously have wanted to give it a go . So now how do you stop your superstar specially when it's the NBA championship on the line

At the same time the Doctors had to clear him so maybe they though the worse he can do is aggravate it. It looks bad and I am convinced that is an Achilles Injury.

That timeout cost them the game. When they took the 6 point lead the Warriors looked defeated and it felt it was game over.

Some people change their views on this series on an hourly basis in this thread. That was a great win for the warriors but I don't see how the Warriors are favs for this now . They are 3.2 to win as per the bookies, will need a miracle

Players will always want to play, especially in the finals. It’s up to the organisation and medical staff to make the correct call, even if it’s at odds with the player.

With the way the warriors were shooting, and equally how awfully the raptors were, they could have still feasibly won the game and perhaps had KD more ready for game 6 or 7. Now they definitely have to make do without him, and it’s not like the Raptors are going to fall for the suspenseful mind games seeing as everyone who watched that game knows he’s out for a lengthy period.

Agree. This was more a Toronto choke then a warriors win. I really think Toronto will take it.

I think Nick Nurse has had a really good series though. He really hasn't made many mistakes - in the playoffs as a whole to be honest.
