No doubt in my mind. If not for Durant this would be the most parity in the league in God knows how many years.

Celtics tentative letting bucks close down on them defensively. They need kyrie to step up big.

Celtics interior defense was non-existent. Only caught the 4th quarter but seemed like the Bucks had a lay-up drill going on throughout the final period. Can't see the Celtics coming back to advance past the Bucks now, and Kyrie may have very well likely played his last game in Boston as a Celtic.

This is Dame's chance to make WCF. He will never have an easier opposition in round 2, he either has to do it now or he will never get there.
Yep. He'll never get an easier opportunity to get to the WCF, and I think he realizes that which may be affecting his play (wanting it so bad causing him to try too hard). He rightly received all of the plaudits for his amazing performances in the series vs OKC, but if the Blazers fail to get through, he should receive the brunt of the criticism if his play continues as is, since, aside from his performance in game 1 in a losing cause, he has been subpar and seems a far cry from the player he was in the first round. He's putting up decent numbers, but his efficiency has gone down the tank. He's the biggest star in the series, and apart from Millsap, who has come up big for Denver, the most experienced key player. This should be his time to step up and build on his 1st round heroics and really shed the "underrated" tag to truly cement himself amongst the basketball elite. Having said that, I'm still expecting him to have a monster game before all is said and done.

Heh. Rockets go up 15, refs give 3 quick fouls to the warriors to get them in the bonus with not even 5 minutes played in the quarter. Don’t ever change NBA.

Is it just me or are the splash brothers not splashing much these days?

Game is done. Without their 3s falling the Warriors can't make a run here. Not only that Rockets haven't done much of the iso game and have been very involved with everyone contributing.

Should take this as a lesson to close out the game better next time, now there's a chance for the Rockets.

Warriors getting outhussled and outclassed. Klay needs to hit some shots or this series is over

Celtics have been poor especially defensively. They need to figure out how to get more out of Tatum and Hayward on offense. Also George Hill has played really well.

Klay needs to wake up.

The Warriors couldn't rebound for their lives in that game. Green completely gave up on rebounding fundamentals, and Looney was the only player who had some rebounding sense in that game.

Honestly, Green can't play in the 5 if he continues to struggle with rebounds. The Rockets have solid rebounders, and the Warriors need to be able to get defensive rebounds in order to prevent the Rockets from stretching them.

The Celtics and the Warriors lost

If only Kawhi could have an average game tomorrow

Made it close at the end but missing 3s is killing the Dubs. Injuries are part of the game and all that but Steph was 22-43 from three before he dislocated his finger and is 14-51 since. That finger needs some TLC ASAP or the Warriors could find themselves watching the rest of these playoffs from home.

In defense of @Sarni, he was clearly trying to jinx the Celtics with that post. Think he even said so in this thread.

Yeah I did admit in the next post that I am a defeatist when it comes to NBA, used to seeing teams I like disappoint.

Bucks are incredible though. If they face Warriors in the Finals, this could really be a close series. If Rockets upset the Warriors and make it there, Bucks would annihilate them I think. Though against Sixers/Raptors they won’t find it easy, especially Sixers have caused them a lot of trouble already this season.

Tonight’s game becomes even more of a must win after last night. It’s one thing playing a conference semifinal to decide who gets to be spanked by the Warriors in the conference finals, it’s another potentially playing Rockets who I think both teams would have a decent chance against with home court advantage.

Do you think that the Rockets are the only team in the West who have a realistic chance against GSW ?

Yes. Portland and Denver will get killed in 5, max 6 if they are very lucky. Rockets have literally built their team with Warriors on their mind.

I doubt Denver would even win a game against them. Portland maybe, one or even two at home if we are extremely lucky. Probably just one though.
