NBA 2018-2019

This is clearly Durant's team. Wonder how this will impact his decision with free agency.

Harden and Steph both stunk up the joint in that 4th. Great defensive plays by Andre and Klay. another overtime game. These playoffs have been incredible, so many good games.

CP3's contract is going to be an albatross around the necks of the Rockets. Not like they had a choice I suppose, but there's only one winner in the deal, and it's not the team shelling out $40m/year till 2022 on a declining star.

Uuuugh. Couple horrible whistles against the rockets this OT

Good thing they won't matter. Rockets got this

Wtf Curry haha. How do you miss that?! Looked like he was caught in between two minds on whether to dunk or finger roll.

Curry :lol::lol::lol:

Fitting end to his performance tonight

I'd rather watch cricket than rockets doing their thing

ESPN had a little write up on it (after everyone has already been debating that whole “landing area” thing)

http://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/26662160/the-sour-science-driving-james-harden-vexing-genius

Harden is just the first one to fully realize that the sour science of flopping and chasing whistles is highly effective. He's the only MVP this century to have more made career free throws than made field goals at the time of his award. To date, he has made 5,604 regular season free throws vs. 5,499 field goals. In the playoffs, he has posted 761 free throws vs. 745 field goals.

Kevin Durant is getting a proper taste this postseason of what life at the Knicks will be like each day of the week . Steph and klay playing proper Knicks level

As some of you may have noticed I am a fan of Steph Curry and might possibly maybe make the occasional excuse if things are not going quite to plan. Not tonight! That was dire! :wenger:

Kevin Durant my goodness. Please come to New York.
Please don't. They will ruin you in New York. A supreme talent like that deserves a good franchise with a healthy owner and setup

Rockets are hard to watch, I probably wouldn't watch this if the warriors weren't involved.
Warriors can be as bad for me.

Well that's just a very strange opinion then , even the biggest Warriors haters would admit that they are an aesthetically nice team to watch and have been for years
They can be at times, they were incredible to watch pre KD but in these playoffs for instance ? Not really. I should have precised that I was talking about these playoffs

Curry's lucky that Kyrie and Love were both injured in 2015 and Durant made the biggest bitch move in NBA history. Or else he'd be a 2x MVP with no titles.

lol

It should be a ban worthy offense to claim that Steph is near as good as Durant, let alone that he is better as @charlton66 has been pushing for years. Both Durant and Harden are miles better players. Curry is one of the worst superstars when it comes to playoff (and regular season doesn't matter).

Don't be silly. Steph has proven himself long ago. Harden has done feck all in the playoffs, in comparison.

I remember Golden State struggling a lot when Curry got injured early in the season, I think his impact on the team in terms of making plays is understated. Durant is an amazing scorer, better than any other in the league, but Currys impact is more than just scoring.

They play better when Durant handles the ball though. Like on last quarter last night when in the last quarter, it was KD handling the ball (not only scoring).

Curry had a bad game last night and has not exactly excelled in these playoffs (especially since getting hurt) but can we please stop saying that Curry does not perform in the playoffs. He has a playoff average of 25.77 which is 10th all time - higher than both James Harden and Kobe Bryant.

He wasn't that good in the same fixture last season, and he was crap against Cavs in 2016, while good but not great in the season before that. He chokes many times in playoffs, especially in important games.

What are you talking about? In last year's 7 game series against Houston he averaged 25 ppg. In the 2016 playoffs he got injured TWICE and still averaged 25.1 versus the Cavs even though by the end of the series he had virtually no lateral movement. Your most egregious statement however, was about the 2015 finals where Andre Iguodala was given the FMVP. Curry averaged 26 ppg in that series to Andre's 16.3 and should have won the award going away. The story goes that a majority of the voters didn't want to give the award to LeBron since he was on the losing side but they thought if they didn't collude Iggy and Steph would split the votes. Therefore they decided to give all their votes to Iggy since Curry had already won the regular season MVP. Should never have happened that way especially when Steve Kerr had to keep bringing Iggy out when the game was on the line because he couldn't hit his free throws going down the stretch (going 10-28 for the series).
