The Spurs will get him.No post moves as well. Defensively, he could add goaltending.
I think it's between Spurs and Suns for Aldridge.
You can't overpay the face of your franchise, especially when it's not costing you cap space, but merely money.I think they're overpaying for a guy who can only lace them up for 50-60 games now, even if he still is an extremely productive player. That lack of a jump shot is going to haunt him.
They must be sure to get him after trading Splitter and Baynes. They could be getting David West too.The Spurs will get him.
They're just giving him a big one one year contract before giving a small contract for multiple years next season when the cap rises even further.I think they're overpaying for a guy who can only lace them up for 50-60 games now, even if he still is an extremely productive player. That lack of a jump shot is going to haunt him.
Diaw, Duncan, West and Aldridge is a fantastic forward rotation.Spurs will be favourites next season. Now all they need is a backup center and someone to replace Belinelli.
Cavs might get West, they're reportedly ahead at the moment. As for replacing Belinelli, now that I think about it, Spurs will most likely increase the minutes for Patty Mills and Corey Joseph.Diaw, Duncan, West and Aldridge is a fantastic forward rotation.
Looks like Hibbert is on his way to the Lakers. Not as bad as it sounds tbh. My preference this FA was DAJ. Someone to anchor the paint and whatever they add to offense is a bonus.
If we can get Hibbert anything close to 2 years ago he'll be okay here. Let Randle, Kobe, Clarkson and Russell work around him and keep him where he's comfortable.
And if things don't work out, he comes off the books next summer just in time for the cap increase and Durant.
Neither Bryant nor Rose is comparable to Wade here. With Rose it was a multi-year deal. With Wade it's a 1-year deal. With Bryant he was already paid the max all his life, and he never sacrificed anything for the franchise, and he Lakers were rebuilding at the time, and it was a multi-year deal, and it even costed the Lakers more money per year... So you see completely different situations. So I'm assuming you think paying Kobe $24.5 million is not an overpay? And everyone is going to have some level of flexibility next year, so he's not doing the Heat a big favor by signing this deal IMO. Look at D Rose, a guy who fell off after signing a big contract, and how much his contract his hurting the Bulls now. Sure it wasn't an overpay at the time, but now it's a damned albatross. Available money is the biggest asset a team can have, aside from talent. You can't pay big money for guys who you know will only play in 65 games max in a healthy season.
A pair of conversations, first with Heat CEO Nick Arison and then with managing general partner Micky Arison, reminded Wade of what he meant to the team. From there it was a matter of making numbers work.
"Sitting down with Nick, sitting down with Micky and having conversations with them that I've never had, that was big for me," Wade told The Associated Press. "I've never had a business conversation with one of them. ... They got to show me how much they really wanted me to be here, how important it was for them that I continue to wear one jersey."
Without those conversations, Wade said, "I don't think we would be at this point."
Wade said he was able to track through social media how much Heat fans wanted him to stay, which he said factored heavily into his decision-making.
"I can't tell you how much I appreciated what they all said," Wade said.
But ultimately, Wade needed to know the Heat felt the same way about their 33-year-old shooting guard. Wade averaged 21.5 points last season, third-best among Eastern Conference players, and believes he remains one of the game's top threats when healthy.
He found out the Heat still agree.
"Money-wise, I thought I did the best I could for myself and my family, and I also had the Heat in mind," Wade said. "Obviously it's all about putting yourself in position to be able to compete. I love this organization. It crossed my mind to say, 'If I'm going to handicap this organization by this contract, maybe the best situation is not to be there.'
"A one-year deal for $20 million, I could never look at that and roll my eyes," Wade added. "I am from Robbins, Illinois. Look at what I've been through in my life."
You think Miami will finish lower than 3rd in the East?I'd take the under on that bet.
You think Miami will finish lower than 3rd in the East?
Pistons legend -Rodney Stuckey, has signed a 3 year deal with the Pacers.
not^
I was just wondering if you meant under 3 or under 3rd.Yeah, want some action?
So what did happen then? Did he sign a 2 year deal? A 4 year deal? Did he sign a 3 year deal with Guangdong or New Orleans?

Personally I don't know, Miami will probably be the most unpredictable team. If everybody stays healthy then they have a chance at top 3, but if the nightmare of last year happens again, no chance.
By the way, why don't you switch to supporting Miami? We now have three guys that you like (Dragic, Whiteside and Winslow).. I mean even Monroe is leaving FFS!you wanted some action
What?!!!I don't like whiteside particularly, I just think he's good. I think sometimes it comes across that I like players just because I defend them. For example, Chris Paul is a whiny flopper with annoying commercials but that doesn't mean he isn't one of the 5 best point guards of all time.
What?!!!
I thought you were saying the NBA right now, and I was like, ok, may be even top 3, but what?!
Magic Johnson, Isiah Thomas, Oscar Robertson, John Stockton, Gary Payton, Steve Nash, Jason KiddName five better.
Is this for real? Magic Johnson, John Stockton, Steve Nash, Jason Kidd, Gary Payton, and Isiah Thomas. There's six and that's just from the post-80s.Name five better.
