NBA 2015-2016

Who else are you going to spend the money on? Brandon Jennings? Wes Johnson? MozGOD?

Bazemore and Batum are two options. Not many 3s available who are better than Barnes unless you're confident of landing Durant. Thing is there might be some next year (Millsap will be) and you don't want to be paying $20M to an average player you'll find it difficult to offload.

Both of those guys are going to get PAID too. People don't fully comprehend just how many teams have cap space this summer.

They do but the more attractive free agency comes next year. Obviously Curry will not move anywhere despite being UFA but even Westbrook might be available if Durant contemplates leaving and they have another upsetting season. Then you have Griffin, Lowry, Millsap and Hayward who will more than likely opt out to seek better deals, some RFAs who might not be matched like Schroder, Noel, Adams or maybe even CJ plus lucrative UFAs like Iguodala, Ibaka, Evans and Teague. Some teams might be willing to keep their money until next season which is what Cuban has recently suggested too.

Celtics are the team that I fully expect to be properly awesome from 2017-18 onwards. They have immense amount of cap space ($40M+ this year I think) and will probably be going strong for Durant and Horford this year plus 1-2 stars next year. They're shopping their #3 pick this year and could possibly get Butler for it (rumoured package also including Smart who will become dispensable plus Amir Johnson to clear cap space).

Ingram had a good workout with Sixers yesterday. I'd say it's 60/40 in Simmons favour in regards to who goes first this draft.

Lakers as well, $60M in capspace plus a team built around Randle, Russell, Clarkson, plus the no. 2 pick (Ingram most likely). Just need a free agent center, another wing, and possibly a backup guard.

Can Simmons be any more subtle about where he wants to go?

Not a chance he drops out of top 10 to get to Bulls.

Who's to say he was referring to Michael?

I think he was joking.
Regarding the tweet, I think every draft prospect just wants to avoid the Sixers. Can't blame them really.

I know, it's why I ribbed him with the "g.o.a.t." line.
Colangelo will likely turn the ship around in Philly, it's too bad Hinkie isn't still around to bear the fruits of his "process." They need to move either Noel or Okafor this offseason.

I think the Australia connection may play a part with the Sixers and Simmons.

They will. I thought they'd move Okafor to Boston for #3 and select Murray, Hield or Dunn with it but it seems that Boston are in talks with Chicago for Butler. It's actually interesting who will go third, a large number of predictors have Bender there but I'm not convinced. It's a player who has played very little of professional competitive basketball in Europe, I think Porzingis success has moved him a good few places up. Buddy Hield, Kris Dunn and Jamal Murray are all very fine backcourt prospects.

Are you kidding me? What's next? A championship on a silver platter? Gilbert and Lebron are two knobs that deserve each other.

Must suck being on the east coast when all the games don't start until 9pm over there

6pm start here and time is already beginning to drag

Im trying to pick a team to support just for the finals but I can't. I dislike them both equally. I couldn't give a shit as to who wins. I just want a close game and definitely a game 7.

If Steph and Klay can get hot this quarter, in the words of the great Lloyd Christmas "so you're saying there's a chance."

I'm never betting against a home team again. Just lost a tenner assuming golden state would close tonight. But there's something really incredible about home advantage in basketball. It's a massive massive factor

Ugh, can't believe this is going all the way to the last game.
Losing Dray for a game and Bogut for the rest of the series while Iggy is playing hurt will do that to you. Dubs have no answer for TT.

When its all said and done when LeBron retires he has to be in the top 10 players of all time. No question. Even if he doesn't win a ring from now till the time he is done.

You'd think she'd learned by now...

[Edit]: Nice try Ayesha. You can delete all your tweets, I still have a screenshot.
