Bring out the brooms
Toronto really inefficient, DeRozan and Lowry backcourt not performing to their standards. It's been aclose, but Wizards have edged them out each time due to some big shots.
Getting rid of DeRozan would be nuts, he's pretty much the only Raptor that hasn't been a complete embarrassment these last couple of games.
The problem with the Raptors is that they start off games well enough, move the ball around, then the coach decides to play ISO almost exclusively, the team falls apart and then you have 3 or 4 of the same players trying some hero shit in the end going for Hollywood shots they have no business taking. Lowry has been complete dog turd since he let his All Star status get to his head.
Casey definitely needs to go, for an allegedly defensive coach our D has been atrocious, not to mention he hasn't a clue as to how to use Valanciunas.
I'm just scared we'll end up hiring Scott Brooks
Why is Mark Jackson still out of a job?
He's an asshole and people really don't like him. I think he will get a job sooner or later but personal enmity makes it more difficult for him.
I haven't watched this series but DeRozan is one of the most overrated players around. He's shooting 41% and the only thing saving his TS% of 51 (which is still quite bad) from being lower is that he is a good free throw shooter.
Bucks in 7.
Didn't expect the Bucks to push Chicago this much. Seems like the Nets are pushing the Hawks too. Does anyone that comes out of the East have a realistic shot of beating the winner of the West? Seems very, very unlikely IMO.
The TrailBlazers and the Raptors are only good in the regular season.
The Hawks are still a contender. The Celtics won the title in 08 after going 7 games with the 8 seed. The Spurs did it last year too.
08 Hawks and 14 Mavs were pretty strong teams though, the Hawks are being outclassed by a D-Will who still thinks its 07.
The 08 Hawks were 37-45 in a conference whose 5th best team was 1 game above .500.
The Trail Blazers have tons of injuries. They lost Matthews for the year. Kaman and Afflalo have missed games. Aldridge has played with a torn ligament in his thumb for 3 months now. Batum has played with a knee injury for a month and a torn tendon in his wrist since December.
Not really, Bulls should've ended the series in Milwaukee. Now this could get tricky for them. You want the Cavs to sweep the semis too huh?

They still had players that could cause teams problems.
Was that the series against the Bulls with tons of OTs? I vaguely remember a Ray Allen buzzer beater and ridiculous performances from Rose and Noah. The Hawks are still a contender. The Celtics won the title in 08 after going 7 games with the 8 seed. The Spurs did it last year too.
They caused teams so few problems that they lost 8 more games than they won.
False, we're shit all year around.
DeRozan played a big part in that good start and his injury was a major setback for the Raptors as well...We started 24-6...
And then Casey wen't full retard with his ISO plays and his obsession with playing 3 guards at a time.
So teams with bad records in the regular season genuinely never do well in the playoffs ? Interesting, match ups are more important in the playoffs than in the regular season, I can see why a team which consists of Mike Bibby,Al Horford and J.J etc would give the Celtics problems.
Didn't the Raptors sweep the Wizards in the regular season....How about now?

The raptors were separated from the Wizards by 3 games. Those Hawks were 29 games behind the celtics. It's not at all the same thing.
Yes of course small sample size and match ups matter more in the playoffs. That's my argument. You are the one who implied that the 08 Hawks were somehow unusually good for an 8 seed.
I said they were pretty strong teams, not unusually good....I never mentioned their reg season record, it just that sometimes in the playoffs like 2011 the #8 seed can cause problems,I think we can all agree that if The heat managed clinch the 8th seed and they somehow got Bosh back from injury they'd have been a really strong #8th seed this year.
