NBA 2014-2015

Yes, that's a huge problem for the Thunder. Hope they can cope without their superstars until they're back. But maybe Durant will be fresher come April this time around.

I like James a lot more in a Cavs jersey than a Heat one. Sloppy game from him though, way too many turnovers.

Another good win.

Bosh with 30 points (17 shots) and 8 rebounds. Wade seems to be struggling, only 9 points, but 10 assists.

PERRY JONES! Durant-like with a huge clutch 3. Good win. Was fading badly though. Need to get more bodies in ASAP.

They have zero chance of making the playoffs this year. Absolutely none.
I already have to admit you were right. I think I didn't (want to) realize just how bad they are.

The West is just so good. The Thunder might actually miss the playoffs just because of the injuries to Durant and Westbrook. Even though they will both come back, they could be too far behind by then.

Suns with the win over Spurs despite shooting like shit from 3s. Kings are gonna look like fools for letting IT walk.

No they won't. IT is an excellent scorer, an average playmaker and a putrid defender. He could easily be the best sixth man in the league but his ego won't let him accept that role. It will turn sour in Phoenix eventually, IT has a chip bigger than himself on his shoulder and not in a good way. He's a great scorer and everyone loves a little guy, but his type of game does not translate to wins if he's a starter.

The Kings ball movement has been exponentially better since he's gone and our defense has improved by miles by virtue of him not being on the court. It's a case of addition by subtraction. I don't dislike IT but I know his character well enough to know that it was the right move to let him walk. He's already made some questionable quotes in Phoenix about starting and he should be well and truly in the honey moon phase.

Boogie with 34/17/5/3 tonight as he leads the Kings to a road win against the Clippers. He's a freak. Rudy was also very good with 25/7/6 on 50% fg shooting, after his 40point outburst against Portland a couple nights earlier.

His contract is one of the best in the league, even if he was the wrong player for the team, he'll make an incredible trading piece for whoever has him.

I disagree. It's not a bad contract, it's about what he's worth, maybe a little too much. He's an elite sixth man. As a starter he will put up numbers because he's such a good scorer, but he has massive, massive holes in his game and in his attitude. No team will win with him as a starter. As a sixth man, he's definitely capable of getting a team out of a hole in a hurry. 7 mil is about what he's worth. I've watched him every single game since he was a rookie - there's a reason the majority of Kings fans didn't care that he wasn't resigned. And I certainly don't dislike IT - but the only way you could value his contract as a steal is if you only value scoring.

The Grizzlies should have been in for him. Not sure if he would be content with a bench role in Memphis as you mentioned.

Hasn't he already made a bit of noise saying he was waiting for the Lakers and how anybody would still like to play there? A few months after joining Phoenix. Says a bit about his attitude.

Jones and Jackson injured! I mean seriously what kind of curse is this? There were six fit players for a second! Jackson back but clearly hurt.

lol, I don't understand how you think Thomas wont accept a sixth man role when: he's agreed to come to a team with already 2 elite PG, and a bench role is exactly how the Suns has been using him so far. He's a nice insurance for the Suns whenever either Dragic or Bledsoe got injured or just playing bad, like tonight. If you've seen the contracts that's been handing out in the league so far, IT contract was perfect. Hornacek has shown that he's not afraid to bench players regardless how much their contract worth. He sat Bledsoe for much of the game tonight because Thomas was playing well. He benched Thomas most of the game against Jazz because he didn't play well. So I don't think attitude will be a problem, at least with the way Hornacek handles the roster

I don't think it has anything to do with his attitude, Zach Lowe asked him specifically about it, and he answered it honestly. Here's the interview :
I heard you had a strong interest in signing with the Lakers.

Yeah, I did.

But they had to wait out Carmelo and LeBron. And now there’s a lot of talk about players not wanting to play with Kobe. What appealed to you about the Lakers?

First off, it’s the Los Angeles Lakers. Who wouldn’t want to play for them? Second off, I felt like they always needed a point guard — a small guard like myself. I always envisioned myself playing with the Lakers, but like you said, they were waiting on Carmelo and other moves. The Suns came out of nowhere and showed a lot of interest, and I fell in love with them.

Saw Bryant had a 39pts and thought, "wow, at least he's had a great game". And then - 14 from 37. He basically takes almost every shot. Good, bad, he doesn't care.
Good luck to the Lakers while this guy's around.

This was the first time this season he ball hogged like that. Maybe the 4th Q v clippers aswell. Almost like he got tired of the non-support from his team, but funnily enough those 2 games have been the closest games for the Lakers this season. the games where he has been less selfish have ended in blowouts.
I mean Boozer is a 2nd/3rd option. Share the ball with him?

Playing nba2k15 has made me want to start watching nba again but I can't understand half the shit they talk about and all the stats. feck, Americans love their stats.

Basketball stats are pretty self explanatory no? Apart from player efficiency rating (PER) which probably nobody understands the thinking/maths behind but just generally accepts.

There's a Shit loads of acronyms that I don't know what they mean and can't be arsed to Google. There's an acronym for everything. Hes got 37 ppg in the egs this season when playing 19 minutes as a bdt inside the usn. Simarly, his teammate has an average tuy of 65 against opposition pwa's.

When the coach gives the half time team talk in game I'm basically Adam Sandler in the waterboy 'well basically they give me the ball and then I try to get it in the basket'

Ppg is points per game. The rest don't exist.

That's fair enough. I expected lower. Also I have the highest PPG of any rookie and I'm the top scorer (is it called scorer?) in the league. I just can't get rookie of the year since you start as an undrafted rookie after the all star games so you can't play enough games to win it. I have a special relationship with Ty. I don't really know how to defend though. Someone gets a 3 and it's my fault for allowing him to score but if I try to get the ball back it's a foul. So I just go with the old 'I'll score more than you.'
