Nba 2011-2012

I think Thunders will win the series, they got fresh blood, with hunger. The second game was close, they almost came back from a huge deficiet. They will just edge it in the last game.
Atleast i hope Thunder wins.

Battier and Sir Matt both went to Duke.

*slaps the floor*

Aside from him just being my favorite player of all-time, he's one of my favorite people. Too bad he's not 35 yet or I'd vote for him for President.

This 1st quarter so far has looked like 90s playoff basketball, with the exception that only one team so far in this series is allowed to manhadle their opponents when playing defence.

Thunder up by 14 points after the 1st quarter for a change, almost everything going right for them and Miami are unable to knock down jump shots so far.

James already after the 1st half on course for a triple-double. He's really working hard to get that title and if the Heat end up not winning this series he can't possibly be accused of not showing up in the finals again and being a choker. Very mature performances so far in this series.

So far in the series Harden has had 1 good game:

game 1: 2-6, 5 points, 3 assists, 1 turnover
game 2: 7-11, 21 points, 2 assists, 2 turnovers
game 3: 2-10, 9 points, 6 assists, 2 turnovers
game 4: 2-9, 8 points, 2 assists, 4 turnovers

Not even close to good enough.

Tremendous performance by Westbrook so far, he's keeping the score tight even though everything seems to be rolling for the Heat, Chalmers especially!

Should it really be possible, for a professional at this level, who's had a fantastic performance, to do such an unexplainable idiotic thing at the end? What a feck-up. Still, he should not be roasted after this game. Those who deserve flak are the coaching staff and his teammates for letting him down every single big moment of the game there was before that play, especially Harden.

James is limping, you take a 94-92 lead and clearly the momentum is on your side, time for the defence to step up but they don't, the Heat go on a 7-0 run. Nothing you can do about that 3-pointer from James, but at the end of the game the Heat were just walking into the paint, Chalmers for christ sakes gets an open lay-up to take a 101-98 lead and then you have a possesion where they end up giving the ball to Sefolosha who takes a contested three and misses badly. OKCs finishes in the last two games have just been unacceptable, they should have won one of the last two. Now you're in a position where you have to do something that's never been done in NBA Finals history. Good luck!

LeBron can guard the top scorer of the opposing team and still do his scoring/rebounding/play making.

Other scorers cant seem to do it - Harden spends so much of energy & focus on defense of James that he loses his offensive edge or else Durant gets into foul trouble.

Were a disgrace again, especially in the 2nd half.

The NBA has invested a lot in LeBron, if he loses another final, he could get a losers tag, and it could hurt their marketing. LeBron is the star of the NBA now, and there's really no one who can challenge him for popularity beside Kobe whose only going to go down from here.

Durant is stuck on a small team and isn't the team leader, Westbrook is, so he's not going to get the same sort of following that LeBron got in Cleveland.

Howard is a fantastic talent but no one likes Orlando and they've been a disaster in the free agent and trade markets.

Camelo is popular but he's never going to win a title unless he transforms his defense into something that could be called defense, and figures out how to make a team better with his contribution to the offensive game plan, not worse. I don't see either of those things happening, he's too egotistical.

Wade could be the star on any other team, but as long as he's with LeBron people will pay more attention to James.

Rose is the only real threat in the future, I think his Bulls team would have beaten Miami in the conference final at full health. He doesn't seem to be the sort of popularity junkie like James that embraces the marketing orgy around him, even if he won a title I don't think he'd bring as many viewers to the NBA as LeBron.

So yeah, the refs. Unless it's the 2012 apocalypse, we've had City and Chelsea walk away with the title's they've spent billions to get, perhaps it's the year of the bad guys buying what they want.

Harden has no business guarding James, I don't get that one. Thabo Sefolosha is almost the perfect player to guard James, and Perkins and Ibaka about the perfect low post defenders to challenge him. Though I much preferred their tactic of letting James 'get his' and doubling Wade and making his life impossible. Worked well in game 1.

Nice blown layup with an open court, Harden, that could have taken the lead.

And now they're down 6.

Fouled the entire trip down the court (as pointed out by Legler and many other analysts) and should have been a "clear path foul," two shots and possession. Yet another missed "bump" foul as Legler put it, something the Heat are getting and the Thunder are not. Again, just agreeing with analysts.

For me, this is right up there with 1992 Bulls-Blazers, 2002 Lakers-Kings, 2006 Heat-Mavericks as some of the worst, one-sided officiated series on display.

I've lost interest and have dediced I will do something other than watch Game 5. If it goes to Game 6, I might watch. Just have lost that loving feeling. And I refuse to watch that trio celebrate a title win.

All it takes is one extra foul call or no call per quarter and we're talking 8 points a game to the team that gets an advantage. Few top teams would beat a top opponent who was spotted 8 points, especially at home.

It's just sooo easy to influence a game of basketball as a ref.

If the Thunder had gotten that sort of protection in OKC I wouldn't complain, but the Heat were treated like the home team there as well.

The crap refs are the main reason I don't really watch much basketball.

Haven't years supporting United told you that conspiracies surrounding referees always befall the favourites, who are in turn the most hated, which in turn creates a lot of bullshit?

Nothing wrong with James. Never been in trouble with drugs and/or women as far as I can tell. The bullshit surrounding his move to Miami was uncalled for, admittedly, but apart from that I don't see the problem with him. Some people just love to despise greatness.
