Nasri To City - Done Deal!

if it is just money he is after City will get him. If he wants to be part of the history of the greatest club on earth, we will get him.

This...

and to be honest that is why I like transfer season. Ii know when a player signs for us he wants more than just his paycheck and that is exactly the type of players I want pulling on our shirt. I would like to see Nasri sign, but I know if he does it is for all the right reasons .

Selling Nasri to City would be pretty much ensuring Arsenal dont have a hope of finishing above them. Would be an awful move regardless of money involved. What would Arsenal do with the money anyway? His replacement is likely to cost a small amount like most Arsenal transfers. So it makes sense from their perspective to avoid letting him go to City.

Arsenal really have handcuffed themselves here. They must have been aware Nasri wanted more money...unless it was a matter of success and what sort of players were coming in.

He may well change his mind, but the probability is he is gone.

I think there's got to be something in this story I think. We would never be so heavily linked with a rival player unless there was something going on.

On the other hand I might just be desperate to get my cock out for the 4th time in one transfer window.

Nasri could be doing a rooney.
Doest affect us, might upset someone at arsenal, might act as a smokescreen. There are reasons for us to ignore rather than deny it

There might be something to it, but I really cant see this transfer happening and unless there is any indication from our side that we are interested, I find it hard to believe.

I think it's very likely we're interested, or at least testing the waters.

I think it's very unlikely that Arsenal will sell him to us, at any price.

If they can't negotiate a new contract (and I think they probably will, if only to avoid pissing off their already pissed off fans still further) this will end up like the Heinze saga, where they shop around to find an alternative destination acceptable to the player and the club.

He hasn't told Arsenal he won't sign the contract and we're successful, they've not been really for 6 years so I don't know. Everyone wants to win trophies and I think Fabregas is giving off a bad vibe. Everyone knows it's a matter of time and that's where the clubs going. We had the same with Ronaldo but we got another season out of him and got rid. I think it could be bs but no ones denied anything and then you think well maybe...

If we sell Gibson, we're lacking not just a play maker but a goalscoring midfielder of note and he might just be the one. I don't think there's enough plausible reason for him not to justify the move and so you never know :)

Sky sports news are saying city are about to sign him.

Truth is SAF has the kidna...the 'friend acquirer limo' hurtling towards Manchester Airport as we speak.

No worries lads.

Shitty are the Hyenas of this world, scavenging on other clubs targets...

For 180k a week, Nasri can go to Manchester City. Not a fecking chance we would offer him these type of wages.

Would be a lot, lot worse if he went to City. We're going to finish ahead of Arsenal no matter what, we havent been title rivals for some time

City have just crept in front of them, selling your best player of last season to them would be a nail in your own coffin

Looks like he's off to City, fair do's.

Strange one considering we all thought Arsenal wouldn't sell him to a rival.

I feel like we've lost out on a fantastic player at a fantastic price. Hey ho.

He's better than Sanchez in my opinion. For now. So its no surprise at all that they've turned to him, in fact I mentioned them earlier in the thread as someone who will get involved

You lot are going crazy for a french bellend... two, actually. If Sir Alex wanted him as much as some say we need him, then we would bid for him right now, but if he doesn't, then let him move to Shitty.

It'd be a good move for City actually, they need a player like him, and we were never going to get him anyway so I'm not really disappointed.

Weren't you also convinced that Sanchez is off to City. Just hold on, nothing is completed.

No Modric medical and now City signing Nasri???

What a shite day this has been :(

Just wait and see. £20m.. We will make a bid. It will be up to Nasri. I don't see him choosing City over United.

That's it..we re doomed

What for? They already have David Silva who, in my opinion, is better than Nasri, and they've also got Touré Yaya, who, in my opinion, has worked better with Silva than Nasri could in theory.

They've also got plenty of other midfielders.
