Mykhaylo Mudryk | Reported - Failed doping test

here's a wild concept: if a player is ill, just don't play him. I get the urge to showcase all the shiny new toys, but they have about 87 other players in the squad.

unless they just say he's "ill" to distract from the performance, of course.

That does seem to be on the rise and it can easily be turned on the people asking questions.

Judging by the comments, there are at least 2 idiots in here who think he signed for Arsenal

It doesn’t even take 90 minutes of football for posters to judge players on here
I mean people were thinking he was world class because of 3 touches vs Liverpool.

The reality is they spent 100m on a player with 12 career goals at the ripe age of 22, who had fewer than 30 league games played for Shakhtar. Basically - he scored a nice goal in the CL and everyone thought he was a star. He might have big potential, but he's very far from being ready, isn't as good as Martial was when we paid up for him and less proven than Martial was at the time. And they paid 100m. It makes Antony's fee seem reasonable.

Both untrue sentences!

If he was that sick he wouldn’t have started. Not like Chelsea are short of options.

He was anonymous. His touch hasn’t looked great in either match he’s featured in.

Would love to see him fail because Chelsea

but red cafe has a habit of writing off players after barely 2 games.

ffs we had some folk write off Haaland after the charity shield

Red cafe has a habit of having a bit of fun at the expense of our rivals. It’s not meant to be taken so seriously. Some here are convinced they’re public figures who will get cancelled one day for a bad take.

I still chuckle at City signing Haaland and falling behind Pep’s old assistant manager

Nah but the Caf has a terrible record of recognising talent. Might have something to do with only needing 90min to spotting and finding out.

That's because there isn't a price to just spouting out crap here. Nobody gets called out. You can see dumb comments like ''he's a complete waste of money' to 'I am certain that he will win the golden boot' within a space of a month from the very same poster.

What a potential. I like what I saw.

Would be an instant monster at Barca/Real/Bayern. Or City.

Potter said he had a severe cold during the week, which meant he was pretty heavy legged and lethargic which begs the question, why did he start?
Exactly that,

Strange decision from the manager if that was the case, especially when the young lad that came on looked a real threat at times.

Maybe he felt obliged to play his new signings.

Nothing like the caf to write a player off after one bad game.

"Not Messi levels" is a pretty tough standard!

He's an exceptional talent, no doubt, but is like a raw diamond that needs to be coached in certain areas of play to be more effective. He could definitely hit at least Robben levels with the right coaching. Understand the banter, but it's unwise of people to write off someone with so much flair after a 45 min performance.

To be fair after the Liverpool cameo against 37 year old James Milner people had him down as a certainty for the ballon dor. No doubt hes a talented player, I think there's a big chance we dont see it at Chelsea though, basket case of a club.

To be fair, which fan base doesn't have a chuckle at a rival blowing their load on relatively useless players.
Still, believe he'll be of decent quality, just don't think he has the current manager who's going to help improve him.

I thought this was the honest answer. Its just a bit of fun and winding up the opposition fans. I'm on another forum where we talk about football and theres loads of teams fans and its just fun to go on the windup sometimes. Nunez has been a rich feeding ground but I fear that will dry up eventually and he will either come good or become less awful in front of goal. Luckily Chelsea have just bought a bazillion players so I'm sure there will be plenty of ammo for a while.

Doesn't have Messi's first touch or finishing which is going to cost him from reaching higher levels, but I can see many similarities with ball control & dribbling.
Blimey pal. Comparing him to the greatest ever player to play the game is a harsh baseline! In that case everyone who ain’t Messi is going to be disappointing!

I do question how much of that is actually true or whether it’s trying to alleviate the pressure from the media questioning a pretty poor debut. It’s much easier for Potter to say he was ill than acknowledge he played badly. If he was ill, then it’s on Potter for starting him considering he wasn’t short of options in that position.

Potter said he trained fine leading up to the game so thought he could give him 60 mins but decided to hook him at HT after seeing him be ‘very heavy legged’. So I get it yeah, probably shouldn’t have started him but it is what it is.

Conversely, the caf also like massively overhyping players they've never seen play before and hadn't even heard of a month ago, then getting ultra-defensive when those players don't immediately live up to the ridiculous levels of expectation created for them and others start poking a bit of fun

Wasn't there some thread a while ago that literally showed this with actual quotes? And people were commenting how eye-opening it was to see people change their mind so quickly through their post history.

Yep, I’ve seen enough. I’m convinced this guy is another famous premier league flop. Unless he’s got a Heathrow runway to run down, he’s pretty much useless. Boehly strikes again.

I wonder if the commentators will forever mentioned those 10 seconds on his debut when he recorded the fastest sprint in the league.
