I saw this posted on the Chelsea subbredit, you're starting to build a decent following!

Not gonna lie thought Arsenal had this in the bag... but did say that Chelsea would be a much better fit in the video!

100m for a player who hasn't yet managed 50 games in the Ukrainian league. It makes our Antony deal look like daylight robbery.

I’m sure it’s been asked but how are they avoiding FFP sanctions?

They’re spending ridiculous amounts of money. Their support and income won’t come close to United’s and they very likely won’t have CL football next season

Maybe boehly is a fan as well!

The arsenal interest was a bit strange as you've said yourself seeing how they were going to basically pay mad money for someone who was most likely going to be martineli's backup.

Strange choice by arteta.

Chelsea is a joke of a club. It's the real-life Football manager. there is zero substance to the club, just a bunch of mercenaries.

Even if you’d unlimited money you wouldn’t bother spending 250 million on Mudryk, Cucurella and Fofana, you’d get actual world class players. You’d be bad at football manager.

Oh, I agree!

It's a shite way to approach Football and it usually doesn't end too well. They don't have an unlimited amount of cash like City/Newcastle....Tears will be coming

Most likely Martinelli would have transitioned to CF. There is a belief that he would do well there.

Anyway we have Pepe and plan to bring him back. He is an awesome player. Kind of Ronaldo regen. Hope Chelsea don't bid for him.

So on the first July Chelsea will have:

Lukaku
Aubamayeng
Datro Fofana
Broja
Batshuayi
Havertz
Sterling
Pulisic
Ziyech
Hudson Odoi
Mount
Mudryk
Nkunku

…and will be looking to keep Felix if he’s anywhere near decent.
They must be planning an absolute fire sale in the summer if they want to stay within FFP. Imagine they'll look to sell about half of those players.

It likely is Potter's signing because Winstanley was his head of recruitment at Brighton, which is a fact.

And there's reports that state it was Potter who poached Winstanley from Brighton.
Did Potter ask for Winstanley so he can make transfers on his behalf?

I really don't see your logic.

Anyway, I really like your posts and follow you with interest but just don't agree with assumptions like this or yours about Amad and Pellistri re Ole.

What’s chelsea starting XI going to be for this season and next season (with Nkunku)? On paper, this signing is making their squad unbalanced.

I don't see it to be honest I don't think he has the physicality required and he's already great in his current position so why change that.

He's a really good prospect. Top potential.

I don't think he's worth 100M but neither was Antony. Premier league money is crazy these days, 100M used to buy you balon d'Or players. Then really good players from top teams, now I guess it buys top prospects from medium leagues.

If Antony and Mudryk are worth 100M, how much do Rafael Leao, Osimhen and Kvaratsjelia are worth?

Honestly even I don't get it and hopefully with this transfer falling it would stay that way. We need an RW more than an LW anyway.

100m the new 30m

Thing is it ends up distorting the whole football system, the likes of Benfica and Dortmund are getting crazy transfer money to the point where funnily enough Benfica have a pretty good team again now and don’t need to sell. PL teams are so reckless with money they’ll end up funding the disparity.

Because they were given a relaxed FFP budget due to new owners, the rules have now been since changed.

They are also giving BIG contracts so they can spread the money across 6-7-8 year deals. It's risky but allows them essentially to spend double what they usually can.

Chelsea signed Shevchenko also, when he left AC Milan and he was fecking dog shit. Massive flop.
I know. Scored on his debut with a cool finish in the community shield v pool, kissed the Chelsea badge and was a disaster for them after that.

Thanks. Would be hilarious if they all flop

They're spending a lot of money, absolutely nuts.

It has to pay off for them. Or they'll be in Barca level trouble, surely they can't spend in the summer?

Just what Chelsea need. Another player to play off a striker that doesn't exist. Total madness. Not that it's a surprise at this stage.

Glazers should be ecstatic that Boehly bought Chelsea because the only thing dumber and crazier than the price we paid this summer fot Antony is paying 100 million euros for Mudryk from
Shakthar.

And by that I don't mean that either Antony or Mudryk are not good players, it's the price that is beyond idiotic

The owner is a billionaire so he for sure know what he is doing. He is committing a lot of resources on transfer fee and also salaries with all these 7 year contract.
