I’m worried he’ll listen to them demanding Enzo.

Ok but 100M? He’s literally never scored a league goal before this season

Football’s new outlook on signings is that it’s okay to pay for the player that a new signing could become, instead of the player they are at the time of the transfer.

Maybe that’s always been the case, but it feels like now more than ever, the initial fee is based on the assumption said player smashes his ceiling in terms of potential.

I think the days of the Kante/Mahrez signings are a thing of the past.

I don't think a 8 year contract is bad for Chelsea. Maybe bad for the player if he excels and wants to move on from there, but that's miles off. Actually, even that is quite speculative because right now this guy is playing in the Ukrainian league and he has just been handed a guaranteed huge chunk of money.

It's probably just an accounting thing, and in practical terms it doesn't really make a big difference I can see. If you sign a guy for 80 million like we did with Sancho it's not like you are ecstatic to let his contract run down just to get his salary off the books. In the real world that shouldn't happen at the end of a 4 year deal. They get extended or sold.

If it doesn't work out and he wants to leave, he'll get sold or (if he's shit enough) released.

Not so easy if he’s earning good money, but then again, maybe he’s one of those players that will spend a decade out on loan.

Chelsea stealing players they don't need

They need a DOF, this is getting ridiculous.

He is there to replace Sterling I would believe. Mudryk on the left and Felix on the right. It is an exciting attacking line.
