Moyes So Far!

Even if he gets sacked, who would be the man to replace him? I think the only option would be to bring Fergie back to tidy things up again, get the motivation and drive back into the side. Is there even a chance that he could come back though?
Giggs until the end of the season. Then Van Gaal.

If any of our high profile targets this summer watched that, we're fecked anyway. Why would any player that aspires to win league titles and CL titles walk into a team playing as shit as this? Mata looks lost bar the odd exception since he's come in, and it's not because he's not a top player. I'll tell you that.

....hey guys...just watch sir bobby defending Moyes on the beeb....and realise he's here to stay. He ain't going anywhere. Well...unless the Old Trafford crowd stop coming to the matches...

Moyes has lost me completely. I can handle losing if we lose playing decent football. I cant handle losing like that 2nd half performance. He wont be sacked so if he has a bigger plan he better get it in place over summer because I cant take any more of this football.

I think its disgusting that the matchgoing fans haven't turned on him and Sir Bobby and Sir Alex are pissing me off, they are fecking senile when it comes to Moyes.

what is wrong is that United has won 1 game in 13 outings against the top 9 sides. And we still have to go to Everton, Soton, Newcastle.

Apart from Arsenal, all the teams we've taken points from this calender year are in the bottom 7.

Anyone. The lift it would give the players alone would get us winning games again.

This was the final straw for me. He has no idea what hes doing. Hes inept, unable to make the team function as an attacking unit whatever players are out there.

Ge rid. He will harm us immensely if allowed to stay.

Its obvious that we have no attacking plan. We had Mata, Rooney, Welbeck and Kagawa on the pitch together and we couldnt string 3 passes together. Mata and Kagawa were both dire but they are quality players and it has to be the manager's fault when so many great players turn up with shit performances week after week.

We had the chance to appoint a number of world class managers yet we went with David Moyes. Laughable really.

Seriously not since Liverpool appointed Graham Souness has a big club made such an awful choice in manager......Moyes hasn't got a creative bone in his body......I don't think we have created a clear cut chance against a top team this year by playing a through ball from midfield.....We absolutely never looked like threatening City and created a couple of half chances from hit and hope crosses.....City could have scored 3 more......Appointing Moyes has set us back a few years...Roberto Martinez is the man for the job...but I don't think he will leave Everton in the summer

No thanks. I don't want anything else from Everton.

I think its disgusting that the matchgoing fans haven't turned on him and Sir Bobby and Sir Alex are pissing me off, they are fecking senile when it comes to Moyes.

They are deluded beyond belief. The pressure will never mount unless it is heard in the ground.

Everyone's moaning about Moyes' selections today, but I've got to say the selection that was the least effective was picking Welbeck on the left. I was really hoping Welbeck would do the job out there today and he's clearly capable, but he didn't play well and it meant we had no real width at all. We need at least one of Young/Valencia on the pitch at the moment to give us some width and an outlet, and then choose between Kagawa or Welbeck to play inside left and link up with Mata and Rooney.

Cleverley being picked to try and stop Carrick and Fellaini getting destroyed is a sound idea, but Carrick and Fellaini still got destroyed anyway. They just couldn't cope with the pace City played at and offered no real protection to a defence that badly needed it.

The criticism is not about the result. I don't know anyone who expected us to get anything from this game. The criticism is about the performances. The fact that Moyes gets a superior squad and can't get the to play at a decent standard. The fact that a player he bought and assured everyone would improve the team is only good at clattering opponents. The fact that our record signing one of the best players of the past 2 seasons is looking lost. The fact that we are looking worse as the season progresses. The fact that rather than getting rid of this incompetent buffoon he is likely going to be allowed to spend record sums in the summer.

I've criticised Moyes plenty. But losing against City isn't the feckin managerial crime you lot are making it out to be. SAF had a horrible record against them in recent seasons too. And don't come out with the "buuuht we had heart" shite, we went down without "heart" to them even with SAF at the helm, never mind playing a no-legs Rio at the heart of our defence. If a few players had their shooting boots on today the game could have gone significantly differently.
Criticism is fair but if anyone really thinks tonight changes anything, that is a curious view. Tonight showed we are comfortably worse than the best side in the country. That is not a new revelation.

What a glory hunter you are. Support the team and the manager. ;)

I wish I could just go into work, provide them with really bad results and walk home with a nice fat paycheck, knowing full well my job is safe for the near future. That is Moyes right now fellas; he just doesn't have a clue what he is doing. Really wouldn't be surprised if we come 8th or 9th to be fair, Newcastle and Southampton are only 5 and 6 points away.

They are deluded beyond belief. The pressure will never mount unless it is heard in the ground.

They're ruining our club the twats, I'm sick and tired of these guys being deemed 'top reds' and famed for patience, if someone is shit... be ruthless.

Angry post. I understand it but it's a aftermatch post.

Somebody with some personality and character. Anyone. Someone players will respond to.

This is a very important note. The criticizm should start and finish there. When no United fan thinks that United can defeat City (or any other good team) then it should be clear for anyone that the manager is fecking shit.

David Moyes is not the man to rebuild our squad. If we let him ship out half our squad and give him a free hand to replace them with David Moyes players...This will take decades to fix.

And another one. You've got no right to be disgusted at match going fans.
I find this attitude bemusing.

The bar has been lowered so much that in certain games, the defeat being already accepted, the expectancy is on the performance and fighting. You would think I was talking about a side in a relegation battle.

Exactly. It should not be an expectation to get nothing from this game. The fact we are is because of the situation we have put ourselves in all season.

Giggsy a caretaker manager would have been better. He's far more experienced and has winning mentality. Moyes's lacking winner's mentality is one of his many weaknesses

Who can replace the almighty Moyes. I think that it is definitely impossible to find a manager as good as him.

I think the match going fans have been awesome. The best thing to help a team thats playing badly is to try and lift them at the game. Top quality from the match day fans. Best place to express disgust is in the forums and radio etc. I cant fault our match day fans. Im sure the majority of us would get in behind the team if we were at the games.

I do, its not like I've never been to a game or don't regularly attend live games of football. If they're continually supporting this guy to the detriment of the club in order to make themselves look like superior fans, it is a bullshit stance. All it needs is for them to turn on Moyes and we can start to look forwards and give the summer warchest to someone capable of spending it wisely.

Record update: United have lost 10 matches, most in the Premier League and most since 1991.

That's abysmal.

We've got some dross in our squad but 10 points there is inexcusable.

People should stop looking for turning points, there isn't going to be one. This is life under David Moyes, we should get used to it.

''It will be hard but we are going to fight for fourth place''.

Has he said it yet.

The only way you win titles - which I presume is the long-term hope of Moyes by the board - is by being able to motivate the entire team, lesser and better players. It's inexcusable for the manager of Manchester United to not be able to motivate and rally his team. It doesn't matter if there are weak links, which we know there are, the onus is on the manager to inspire them. If we can't trust Moyes to motivate this team, a team replete with title winners, then he should most definitely not be in the job.

"We just tried to make it hard for them"

- David Moyes post match. Sigh.

Doesn't surprise me. It was our tactic away at Olympiakos for God sake, we should feel grateful the team didn't just curl up in a ball from kick off and started crying until the referee abandoned the game out of a mixture of sympathy and disgust.
