Moyes So Far!

The players are shit, they really are.

That is the biggest problem. The squad is full of absolutely average, at best, players.

They are shit for Moyes, they were good for Sir Alex. Moyes ultimately has turned a title winning side into a mid table one. That's how people will look at it, and that's how he should be judged.

Nah the players aren't going to win the league/champions league. But they're not this bad generally. I mean Ashley Young, a player I know you were desperate for us to sign isn't this shite. If 80% of players are playing terribly, sort of suggests there's a problem above the players.

I love how all the cnuts have been waiting for us to lose this one to renew their Moyes out campaign, despite the fact that nobody expected us to get shit out of this match.

It must have been terrible for some of you when we beat Swansea last week.

Dumb comment.

I'm sorry but I fecking expected us to get something out of the game, I always do.

The "played really well in the first half" thing is going to come up a lot I feel. We basically just played the same old tired, antiquated wing play focused game plan, only better than usual. It still paid no dividends, as it was always unlikely to when crossing for Januzaj and Welbeck to get the better of Terry, Cahill, Ivanovic, Luiz et al. It was a dumb tactic to begin with. Moyes is about as progressive as a fecking loom.

You're right though. The lack of finishing can perhaps be accounted for by having our two big hitters out injured, but the quality of the wing play is simply atrocious and that's purely down to a lack of quality in the part of the pitch. Januzaj the only player we have who seems to produce quality from out wide and yet we continue building our system around our wingers.

Last I heard, fans get behind their team and manager. But there are plenty on here who can't even wait for the match to finish to start up their favourite hobby of attacking ours.

Look I understand supporters are impatient these days and for the most part I would agree with you but we have a guy here who just makes the most baffling team selections and seemingly has a touch of the Jonah about him when it comes to luck with injuries etc.

Its hard for people to think that someone could take a title winning side and then struggle to qualify for europe. Its a hard pill to swallow.

Evra was limping off for feck sake.

I can't even be pissed at Moyes this game. Played well but got done twice from nothing except individual mistakes and then from a corner.
usually it's Valencia who takes up the rightback role when
we are chasing a game. I thought he was going to replace
Evra with Kagawa or Hernandes. Thats my reasoning.

Sorry but that's it for me. I've tried to give him time, but he has the same set of players that won the title by miles last year, and turned them into an average top ten team. The manager we should have gone for is sitting in the other dug-out. Love him or hate him we'd get results. We are in free fall. For all the great things he did for us, sir Alex got his final and maybe most important decision wrong. If we don't beat Sunderland on Wednesday and get to wembley, then he has to go.

I'd say a lot can't wait for the match to finish because at this rate Chelsea are going to turn a comfortable victory into a thrashing while only having to mildly break sweat.

This idea that people aren't backing the team or don't want them to win is nonsense. Considering how terrible a job he has done so far, people here have generally been patient with Moyes; the fact that in most polls the majority still back him to stay shows that. People will rightfully criticise him when he's doing terrible though.

I still want to give him the summer to change things. I'm not calling for his head. But at the same time, this season has been almost comically bad, and I'm going to whinge about it on the internet to my hearts content. So there.

I know it is, I just wish some people would man up and try.

Bunch of spoiled cry-babies in here.

Its needless. Very few managers of any standing would have us in this mess.

Their is no place to hide for Moyes.

I'd put money on it.

He hasn't got a clue. Tactically inept.

Our title winning squad is made to look terrible... Who is managing this group atm? Moyes lost the players long ago.. The sooner he gets the sack the better.. He was the wrong man now we need to move on..

Some people on here will stick by him, even if he strings together 5 consecutive defeats after this match. 'Loyalty to the manager and Ferguson'.

WTF!! Why would we want to do that. I've got an idea, lets just get a manager that's actually got a proven track record at winning top trophies.

It's like some united fans want us to go through a shit period.

Problem is we probably can't fire him without paying a massive severance package!

Whilst I type this it really seems like we are being taught a footballing lesson now. It feels like the times when Fergie's earlier years during CL matches where it would seem like we were in control for the first half but end up losing big to counterattacking teams/goals. Clearly Moyes is not on the same level tactically as someone like mourinho.

Hate to say I agree with the tactically inept part. I know Fergie has a reputation for not being as tactically astute as Mourinho but he made up for it in other ways. Moyes is being schooled right now.

But it is also at Chelsea this game and are already 3-0 down. This is very much damage limitation than we're only a goal behind and playing well

Some United fans are masochists - no matter how much Moyes breaks their hearts, they still think he's a genius. Look at what he's turned United to within 6 months - the laughing stock of Europe. Wrong decisions all over the place. His team selection is prepubescent. His subs are pre-historic. No tactical nous, no proper reading of the game. He adds nothing of value to this team.

This league must be weak for us to still be 7th with the shyte we have served all season - we should be 16th. At the post match interview, don't be surprised to hear him say we played very well but Jupiter didn't allign with Mars thus the loss.

We're completely predictable in our play, and tactically, I see no difference from the start of the season to now. Something I find disturbing considering that what we're trying to do is obviously not working. It's like repeatedly walking into a wall face first.

I completely agree that injuries have a lot to do with our current standings, but, you've got to try a different approach at some point. It also stands to reason that if we're left with playing otherwise non-starters, that you try and utilize them as best their abilities allow. Januzaj is a revelation on the wing, and has been our main creative force from there. I can't understand playing him up behind the striker when we have such a difficult time getting our front two in a position to get the ball in an area where they can create chances, because we simply have no one in midfield with the creative ability to bridge the gap between the center backs and the attacking players.

I'd like to see a hell of a lot more industry and imagination from Moyes at this point, considering we really have nothing to lose from trying some different formations and tactics.

Moyes hasn't got a plan "B". Heck i dont even think he has a Plan'A'

When did Moyes teams become so woeful at defending? I swear Everton were never this bad, and in theory we have better defenders than they ever did. Does he coach that too?

Too true. We've been old fashioned for awhile and instead of moving forward, we went with a suitably old fashioned manager. Seriously when will the united way give way which looks increasingly out of place in modern football give way to something more, er, modern?

Moyes should see the season out but if we are not top 4 then he should go. It's going to make it even harder for us to sign the players we need if we're not playing Champions League. Missing the top 4 in season 1 wasn't part of the plan i'm sure.

I want to give him time, but the other part of me wants him out so we can get some fancy foreign manager to come and go "football manager style" on our squad

You have got to be from RAWK. This, like your "letter" post seem like a parody.

They're faithheads. Even though all the evidence points to the fact that Moyes was the wrong appointment, they want to stick by him due to the idea of being loyal to the manager.

Yeah I'd like to see him given a few quid this summer. And I can't be arsed to whinge I've accepted us playing like a midtable side.

This is a very average team. Young, Carrick, Jones and Valencia across midfield? Johnny Evans our best defender? Moyes should be doing better than this but it's not like it's all his fault, it wasn't like the squad became this average on his watch.

It's hard to see us going anywhere positive at the moment. Moyes just doesn't seem to have a clear idea of where he wants to take us. He's sticking to his tried and tested style but surely he should've known that wasn't going to cut it. We need modern ideas and Moyes just doesn't seem to offer them. I've got a lot of sympathy for him but I really, really don't believe in him as manager of a top team.
