Has anyone heard this:
HUGE! Raf Honigstein was told that David Moyes has lost Manchester United dressing room, ‘must go now’ [ESPN]
http://m.101greatgoals.com/blog/raf...er-united-dressing-room-and-must-go-now-espn/

I don't think he ever 'had' the dressing room. I mean why would he?...Why would players that between them have won everything you can in football, played with the best players, and worked under some of the best managers, instantly respect David 'mid table' Moyes?...There's no way they would have picked him, not in a million years. Moyes' only chance was results going very well straight away, that was his only chance of winning over the players and getting them to believe he could make it work. It didn't happen, and now were left in this mess.

@Gladiator can correct me if im wrong but i think what he means is we no longer turn up to OT knowing we will win. The uncertainty around Utd does bring back an element to the atmosphere - will never forget Blackburn at OT in '07. Won 4-1 from 1-0 down. Atmosphere was electric
Yes. That and just it's a new experience so for me at least there's an element of thrill with it. It's not the dominating feeling by any means but for knowing only Fergie all these years, I'm really intrigued to see what we'll do.

What certainty? Do we know for sure if Moyes will stay on in the summer assuming things stay as they are? I dont think so.
Terrible performances have become almost a certainty these.

Wait, you like the lack of stability, the kind where were not sure whether our manager will get the boot or not? That us "thrilling for you? fecking hell.

I dont like it but it's a different feeling because stability is all I've known. It's just a feeling I have. Doesnt really add any positivity to the situation though.

Of course. I just didn't understand the thrilling bit. It being different is true of course.

Although his DT column is basically saying that there are many things causing the perfect storm swirling around Moyes and he needs time, Michael Owen says something interesting: "There is no doubt the training and approach will be different. For a start, SAF delegated it to Rene. Everything we did was with the ball, promoting quick, incisive passing movements and pressing the opponent to get it back. SAF had his playing style, 442 with two wingers and a high tempo attacking game. We did not do much tactical work." Judging by the teams performance, none of that is being done now and didn't one of the players say that training is mostly without the ball now?

Everton improving since he left and United going under, I would not trust him with the summer kitty. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...rainwashed-fans-thinking-8th-good-enough.html

That's fine. I'm sure there's a more accurate word out there I could have used instead of "thrilling" but that's what came out at the time. Does "buzz" work better? I feel like it doesnt.

'Unpredictability' maybe? I get what you mean. It's not exactly thrilling to see where we're currently sitting, but it's certainly very different to previous seasons.

Some people are willing to give him a chance to sign players but should we be losing to teams outside of the top 4 in England and struggling to win against bottom sides as well? Our team is more than capable of easily winning these games with the players we have like Mata, Van Persie, Rooney, Januzaj and many others but we still manage to struggle. Do remember that Arsene Wenger still managed to manage Arsenal to a champions league spot with an average team lead by Van Persie. Moyes has more than enough quality to beat any of these non-top sides but yet we still struggle every game to find openings and produce results and I have to put this fault on the manager's tactical planning. Is he instructing our team on ways to open up opposition and create combination plays which work and create chances on goal? Our creativity was never on the level of a club like Bayern or Barcelona in recent years but it's ridiculous how we can struggle so much to score goals with Rooney, Mata, Van Persie and Januzaj at his disposal.

I would never put down our lack of ability to create chances as lack of quality as our attacking talent is as good as any other team out there. Would you really accept losing against a team like Newcastle with the excuse being of having a lot of average players in our squad? I wouldn't because Newcastle don't have the kind of top players we do but we would still struggle against them. Something is wrong and it may be that the players are the reason we can't beat other top teams but don't tell me that we can't beat teams like Newcastle and Everton because we have average players.

I think the biggest thing for me is his lack of a winning mentality. I'm not talking about his pragmatic approach or defensive tactics, he's just never come across as a winner in his life. Have you ever looked at an Everton side and thought, "I can see them being a real handful in this league". He never had them over achieving either in the way other managers tune and galvanise their teams. It was always a case of being difficult to play against rather than fear of getting a thrashing.

Yup. That's why I used to find suggestions that he could be our next manager hilarious. His Everton team were a proper roll up your sleeves, work hard, be organised, make yourself hard to beat side that never looked like they had fresh ideas or a mentality that could take them any higher. I personally never looked at Moyes and thought "this guys going to manage a big club one day".

If there are any United players currently reading this thread, and there's bound to be one, I can't imagine what on earth is going on in their heads when they read this thread. Does it back up what they already think, or some of them actually still sticking by Moyes 100%?
That's what's got me interested lately.

i'd be very happy with Capello. We need a hard man running our club for 2-3 years.

Despite his record of success I'm not so sure if I'd go for Capello. One of our main problems under Moyes has been the dire football, but even if results slightly improved you wouldn't get much better out of Capello. He showed towards the end of his tenure with England that some of his tactics and play was rather outdated. If he was there to steady the ship for a couple of years then I'd take it, but to be honest I think I'd probably rather see us going for someone who does have experience, but is a little bit younger and fresher with newer ideas and more modern football.

This!

With the exception of Moyes' golden boy, I doubt they are all fully behind him

Carrick is too much of a gentlemen to admit it, but it seems like he's already lost faith.
RVP hasn't had much delivery and the tactics are a large cause of this.
Who else do we think already hasn't got faith in the man?

The whole squad?

Vidic and Rio clearly
Hernandez
Kagawa
Welbeck.

I remember Moyes saying he was telling Wlebeck to stay behind after training to work on his finishing....Welbeck came back with "Don't know why he said that, I've always stay behind after training"

Madness...It's pure madness whats happening

Feckin Madness so it is.

I don't just mean don't like his tactics, but literally want him gone. Would the whole squad be thinking that way yet?

I doubt any of them wanted him the first place. I'd imagine most, if not all, want him gone now.

I'd hardly assume Kagawa or Hernandez are in love with him. Young and Valencia may be...
Young's only desire now I'd imagine is getting on the England squad. Valencia, I haven't a clue what to think.. Kagawa must be pissed, and Hernadez too.

We almost need some players to go to find out exactly what has gone on and what the problems are. We will only find out if he is sacked and the players speak out, if the club allows them to or if somebody leaves the club.
