Mourinho on Martial after today's game

He said the same thing about Rashford and Martial last season away to Brighton. The man is a vile pig.

You should be ashamed of this inelegant, disastrous post. Not only have you tenuously linked two vaguely similar situations that were actually very different either deliberately to make a point or accidently by not grasping the clear distinction, you’ve also resorted to the sort of base personal bile that entitled supporters feel adds weight to their posts. It doesn’t, it makes you look ridiculous.

‘Vile pig’. I dare not even ask you to extrapolate the justification for that. Either word on its own, or shoved together to make yourself feel good.

What a signing. Three years back everyone knew the attack was an issue. Mourinho has managed to sign big names like Sanchez, Mkhitarian and Pogba and get feck all out of them, all the while stalling the development of Rashford and Martial too.

We need a change.

I don’t get your stance at all. You seem averse to any criticism of Mourinho, yet more than happy to criticise some players. It’s not criticism you object to, then, but specifically criticism of Mourinho. You think he’s blameless then?

Lads Martial was abolsutely diabolical. Arguably a zero out of ten performance and this was before the game got away from us. Yes mourinho is letting his ego try prove people that they aren’t always right but our players have been withiut responsibility for 5 years. If martial played like that in Madrid or Milan he wouldn’t be safe leaving the stadium
martial was bad no doubt but was he worse than Lukaku? The one piece of skill in the entire 60 minutes I watched came from him

We've had the issue for a long time now, tried different players and different managers. Yet the issue continues. So what's the common denominator? It used to be blamed on Rooney not so long ago.... West Ham front line who aren't a patch on the ability of our forward players really put in a shift.
Three completely useless and past-it managers who don't coach their teams at all.

I thought it was good for Mourinho to keep player criticism behind closed doors? This is good, right?

It would be good if he left it behind closed doors; a good manager protects his players in the press and tears them a new one behind closed doors. He also doesn't criticize both player attitudes and abilities without taking a shred of responsibilities for the team failures. Unfortunately, Mourinho's ego has divided this team and I'm not sure he has any shot of getting them back. We're past the point of no-return.

Would you like me to criticise mourinho?im more than willing. He’s fallen way short of where I thought he’d have us by now. He didn’t adapt for two years and now when it looks like he’s trying to freshen things up we’re probably too far gone. Some of his public comments have actually annoyed me although I don’t stockpile them to conflate them into some mythical agenda he has, and however bad he is , calling somebody a ‘vile pig’ is pathetic. If you want a chat about mourinho then by all means, I’ll have plenty to say from a critical stand point. But when did criticism mean calling somebody a vile pig, cancer, a disease, poison, and many more base slurs. It was the same under van gaal. And moyes. Some of the things these guys got called were disgusting. Posters can pretend all they want but it’s clear than unless they’re getting success there’s no level some won’t stoop to. Twice is a coincidence, three is a pattern. It just reeks of deep anger or hatred and we all know you can’t actually hate a person you’ve never met. I believe posters express something else when they stoop to that level. If you want to make a list of let’s say 50 sample posts and put them on the same post, with all of these pathetic insults, against any of our previous three managers, I think it degrades the entire forum. They’re genuinelynauseating and make the place look like a teenagers Facebook.

Yeah, not sure why he has to ridicule players in front of other people though. Feels like he’s trying to assert his authority/power but seems to be losing it by the day.

Really does feel like the sooner he goes the better.

There are Manchester united supporters who have never been within 50 miles of Old Trafford who are just as fanatical as someone who has a season ticket . They are just as entitled to be unhappy with the current management as the rest of us . If they want to vent let them vent in whatever way that they want to , you are not their or anyone else moral guardian .

Mourinho in being a classless cnut shocker........
Wrong wrong wrong Jose. Just do one will you.........

Is this serious :lol::lol::lol:

Other than his fantastic white shirts , I cannot think of one redeeming feature he has.

Yeah blamed the officials and then tried to say the fans got what they asked for with Martial. I was Mourinho in for so long but there just is no way back for him. Gill would not have stood for this. The man is still on the board sadly I, sure his influence will be nada

I'm really confused because I also felt De Ja Vu watching that interview yesterday. Guess I must also have a terrible intellect.

The weirdest thing is this was in answer to a question as to why he didn't put Sanchez or Lingard on the bench. Just a bizarre response really.

First of all, these comments do not belong to any presser by the manager. It's insane.

Second, Alexis has been sh*t for ages. Martial was doing fine against Young Boys and Derby and deserved to be in the squad. The fact that you set up the squad in a way that attackers must pull chances out of their own arse, has nothing to to with the player's ability. I like Martial but even I agree that he's no Messi so that he could decide games in his own.

Sad sad sad.

Doesn't really matter what's being said. Win games or vanish.

To some extent everything that comes out of United right now will be responded to with anger, and the only way to change it are results.
Said perfectly.

It's going to be a long season waiting for 4th to become mathematically impossible.

What position in the table will he be sacked at?

Mourinho is a twat, pure and simple. BBC did a great job of accumulating the problems he's created for himself in this article. The sheer volume of them tells its own story and that isn't even all of them.

He's toxic and I've been saying it for a long time. The sooner we get him out of the club, the sooner we can start resembling a football team again.

No "supporter" has the right to say the words that we've seen towards mourinho in the past few days.

Calling him a vile pig and a cancer is absolutely not on. You don't need to be a "moral guardian" to fecking know that.

Thanks for the link - and to think the below isn't even the half of it

Mourinho's 'mini wars' this season
Other memorable Mourinho moments:

incredible isn't it?

The way he talks about his players is ridiculous at times, the Martial comments yesterday typified it. He turns wine into water these days, sign players then make them half the player they were previously, happens too many times to be coincidental or down to the players themselves.
The two outstanding players in the EPL last season were guys he signed for Chelsea then discarded after a few games. He has lost his touch.

He's so petty.

You're a fecking disgrace. Stick to criticising his choices and his interviews - there are many examples to pick from.

Refrain from personal attacks and grow up.
 pot kettle?

As serious as a post on an internet forum can be. I assume you think randomly calling the manager a vile pig is a top drawer post. Its a piece of shit post not worthy of a youtube comment

I'd argue that list does more to show how overblown his supposed wars often are. the only ones that have any truth to them are likely the Pogba one and perhaps the Woody one, plus the media one but that's obvious.
If you click the link for the Martial one it just says that Jose was willing to let him go to get Willian or Perisic, something we have no idea if that was actually the case.
Plus, Jose vs pre season tour, seriously?

Kind of makes me wonder what people think Jose should say. Like after yesterday's game....

I think regardless of how bad a player plays they should not be 'thrown under the bus' so to speak. I think that any matters like this should be kept 'in-house' and not give the haters any more ammunition against us. Jose should be an intelligent enough person to realise that this tough approach that he employs doesn't always work. I think he would be better calling the player into his office and saying something like "You need to improve on 'a', 'b' or 'c' " but I do not think he has it in his mentality to do this, as his ego can not take it. When something goes wrong he has to blame everyone around him. I have never been his greatest fan but my opinion of him is getting a lot lower each week. I think he is having a damaging effect on the players confidence by 'throwing them under the bus', I think that Jose needs to change his attitude, which I personally can not see happening as I think he is so self-obsessed. This is really sad because I initially though that Jose was going to do well here, I had a feeling that with Jose being Jose that we were not going to play the prettiest of football, but I was willing to take that as long as the results came on the pitch, which clearly at the moment they are not. How we are going now has left me hurting and disappointed.

I think it is. He used the term, "base slurs" before. I think we might be in the presence of Frasier Crane.

I'm half expecting him to challenge someone to a duel over Mourinho's honour.

Same poster was calling people idiots on page 2.

What I think is that we have a group of unhappy players who wanted to leave the club and go somewhere where they could contribute. (These are the players that are mentioned whenever people wonder why Utd pays the 2nd biggest wages of any club and why we still have these players.)

Secondly, there're the ambitious players who look at Utd, and would rather be at a well run club. I'd put Pogba into that category. If he has any sense, he'd want to go to a club that systematically improves the team year to year -- rather than the feast/famine thing going on at Utd. One where he's part of a team, rather than to be expected to be the team.

Whether Martial is in either of these group or not, who knows? Mourinho said if any player was unhappy, he could leave, but it sounded like the club nixed that*.

I know the fans think that the players should give all for Utd, but if you're there day in and day out, it must wear on you -- just like any other disfunctional work place.

Even with the best intentions, all this has to put a drag on the team atmosphere.

*Note that I see this as an accountant thing to do, looking at the profits/losses instead of how the actual people would react.

Can safely disregard everything he writes on here.
