United Report deleted their tweet saying SSN had said the fee had been agreed after a few hundred responses calling bullshit.

One of them shite accounts posts it and the others copy and paste the exact same thing. That utdreport makes stuff up every other day.

My point is that we miss Carrick more than we miss Herrera, in my opinion.

The stats bear that out and it seems the #6 is one of the 3 key roles in LvG's system. I think Herrera is our next most important outfield player though, his incision in the final 3rd from midfield is important in constructing our attacks. My guess is LvG in broad terms will see it as #6 Carrick #8 Schneiderlin #10 Herrera most weeks.

I think the same. If we get Schweinsteiger he will rotate with Carrick mostly I guess. Very solid midfield and possession football suits them too.

why do you follow them? And if you dont follow them actively, unfollow the guys that retweetet this shit.

I found that screenshot after doing a search for "Schneiderlin #mufc".

The people in question who I follow were taken in like me - they weren't the ones trying to spread the bullshit.

Yeah, it seems to suit what LvG is trying to do with the team, a sitting #6 playmaker with 2 box to box CM's that like to press, with one given slightly more attacking license.

Wow thanks for scouting a first choice Premier League midfielder for us Mike Keegan, how on earth did you get the opportunity to see him play?

I confess I had my doubts about whether we should sign him or not. However after Mike Keegan gave the nod I am not worried anymore

Not really. The stuff I was seeing originally said it had been reported on SSN, not the website.

In any case, I swiftly backtracked, so no harm done.
Apologies, you were talking about a screenshot, and it looked like a website one to me, not the TV.

Anyway, let's hope we hear some real news soon.

Next season I see Fellaini as an impact sub, Schneiderlin will make us better defensively but I think that Herrera will thrive in most advanced midfielder role. Carrick needs to sit deep.

I've heard it could be done before the 1st September. Don't quote me on that.

I just can't get into the mindset of someone who is willing to take time out of their lives to fake things to post on Twitter.

Schneiderlin and Clyne -- Southampton lose their two best players, after last summer's exodus, you have to feel sorry for them... for about a second, anyway.

I reckon it'll either be a weekday or a weekend that his signing is announced. I have my sources for that one.

Theres a territorial style to van gaals play that might make Schneiderlin a wonderful player under the right circumstances. Most teams will play with one ball playing CB and One stopper CB in their defensive line up.

However; if we play with two ball playing centre backs, we will have even more passing ability than we did when carrick played by himself last year. 2 ball playing CB's and Schneiderlin can act as the stopper.

This arises from the 352 we played with last season which happens to be a defensive alternative of the 433.
