That is a midfield three worthy of winning a league title in my opinion. Maybe di Maria for Herrera, depending on where van Gaal see's him next season in a rejuvenated United.

Nothing against Blind but I don't feel he is really a top tier player or will ever become one in that regard. A top quality squad player to have though.

Simply not true. It took too long for fans to stop moaning about the down grade Carrick was compared to those he replaced. Blind is no Carrick either. He's a brilliant utility man but not the DM of Manchester United for the next 6-7 years. Simply not even the plan for him I'd wager.

This. Not only would he improve us massively but we'd stop our close rival significantly adressing their major weakness. If as expected Southampton fail to make top 4, I think that he'd be available for less than 25m. We can make that back by selling off fringe players Rafa, Evans, Hernandez etc......

I'm not sure. Coquelin's excellent form has probably muddled up his ideas as to what to do. Coquelin is the #1 DM at the moment, with Cazorla>Ramsey>Wilshere seeming to be the pecking order beside him. I don't think they'll get Schneiderlin unless one of those leaves, which is pretty unlikely.

I don't know anything. I'm just speculating and have that feeling as there are no journos linking us with him like we've been with Gundogan, Depay etc.

As for Lvg he's not going to say anything publicly even if we were interested.

About time we stopped relying on Carrick. If this years anything to go by, and we don't have a replacement lined up this summer, we might be fecking, again, next season.

Carrick, as brilliant as he has been, cannot be relied on due to his inability to stay fit for long periods; Schneiderlin is a perfect replacement for Carrick, and if bought, would push him out of the starting eleven, next season.

He didn't say he was better than Carrick though, he said he'd do a better job. I don't see why that couldn't be true. For all of Carrick's strenghts he lacks mobility and some on his physical prescense which is what we are crying for in midfield at the moment. The partnership Schneiderlin-Herrera could be more suited than Carrick-Herrera.

I was of the opinion that we'd sell Oscar as well, but José recently said that there's no chance we do so this summer. Of course he said the same thing about Mata, Luiz, and Torres but he seems genuine this time.

Our squad was small and spread too thin this season so I think we'll keep him.

Fabregas has actually been significantly better when deployed deeper than he has as our #10.

If we buy a player like Schneiderlin then Fabregas will surely play as the most advanced midfielder. Whether that's as a traditional #10 I don't know. Being up there restricts most of his best attributes.
