Miscellaneous Reserve/Youth News

Brereton was a bit of a passenger. Used to play for us then Stoke (I think) then was released again and Forest picked him up.

At least Tuanzebe trained with the 1st team today. More of a norm these days, I guess.

Looks like Johnstone has joined Villa on loan, Joel Pereira is back from loan to take his spot as our #3 GK

DIdn't Mourinho say only Johnstone will be going on loan in January? Hopefully that doesn't include the likes of Tuanzebe.
Yeah, he wanted to give Joel and Sam 1/2 season each of 1st team football. I think he meant 1st team players, so might depend on how he looks at Tuanzebe. If he's planning to integrate him in the first team squad over the 2nd half of the season, esp. with Bailly gone for the ANC, then I doubt he'll be loaned out.

Hibernian wants to sign Harrop on loan.

Assuming Harrop, Riley, Goss all left on this window:
J.Pereira
Osolunde/Warren Poole/Williams Tuanzebe Mitchell
Redmond Kehinde/Scott
Gribbin Willock Buffonge
McTominay

Still looks very unbalanced. I would try Bohui in some games.

UNITED SAD TO HEAR OF WHITEHOUSE PASSING

BF6BA031F4334A608658EBE5F38326C6.ashx

Manchester United would like to extend condolences to the family of Brian Whitehouse, who has sadly passed away at the age of 81.

Whitehouse joined the club as part of Ron Atkinson's backroom staff in 1981, arriving as the new manager's first appointment, and became Reserves coach at Old Trafford.

During his playing days, he was in the West Bromwich Albion side beaten by United in the FA Cup just a few weeks after the Munich disaster in 1958.

As a striker, he also represented Norwich City, Wrexham, Crystal Palace, Charlton Athletic and Leyton Orient. During his stint as caretaker manager at West Brom, he handed an 18-year-old Bryan Robson his senior debut in 1975.

Our thoughts are with his family and friends at this sad time.

The QF draw for the PL International Cup is today st 11:00 GMT.

Athletic Club de Bilbao
Dinamo Zagreb
Hertha Berlin
Man Utd
Norwich
FC Porto
Sunderland
Swansea City

We’ll meet Porto in the quarters, date and time to be confirmed.
One of the tougher draws you could have got I think.
It's a one-off match with United getting home advantage as a Group Winner in the previous phase.

Our 2005 side (U12s) will participate in two different tournaments this month: Hussiten Cup (http://www.fsvbernau.de/saison/news/255-hussitencup-2017.html) and Hallenmasters des TuS Traunreut (http://hallenmasters-tus-traunreut.de/Wissenswertes/spielplan2017.html). We will probably send two different sides since the 2 tournaments are only 1 week away from each other.

They have won all the 3 matches so far today, 2-1, 2-1 and 3-2. 4 goals for Mainoo and 3 for Veevers.

A few bits of news.

John Doughty has left the club and returned to the USA. He was unable to get anywhere near the action for the U/23's all season and it was probably best for both player and club that he return home to try to get regular games.

Millen Baars is still waiting for international clearance. Why it is taking so long is beyond me.

Sean Goss is talking to QPR about a potential transfer. He doesn't want to leave but doesn't see a pathway through to the first team. He hasn't made any decision as yet.

Mason Greenwood, a very exciting U/15 talent who was injured a few months ago is back in training.

Cheers, I hope Greenwood can make his U18 debut this year, before he got injured he was already playing most of his games in the U16s and did well in Slovakia.

Don't think Greenwood will considering even U16s like Laird/Levitt/Garner still haven't made their U18s debut. We have insane depth this year.

What was the actual date Greenwood picked up his injury? Just trying to figure out how long he was out for.

When I first heard it reported as 'torn ankle ligaments' it sounded like a season ender.

Couldn't remember exactly but right before the 0-9 lost against City 15s.
