Gaming Minecraft | New caf 1.18 SMP server SIGN UP?

while we're on the subject if vids I was searching for stuff about note blocks to see if I could do something cool and found this

pretty nuts

I tried to make an oontz oontz machine for a nightclub on the server I'm on and if the server isn't stable, redstone timing is a bit erratic. Since then I decided not to dive into redstone until Mojang consults some electrical engineers on how to build some of the components people are trying to rig together.

Since then I decided not to dive into redstone until Mojang consults some electrical engineers on how to build some of the components people are trying to rig together.

The old way redstone worked was very similar to circuits in real life, but they couldn't be anywhere near as compact. It's a bit of a shame they have moved away from that but I think its for the best.

Night Club

Remember the last teleport you had? :)

Using the map in cave mode as a means of finding dungeons - acceptable or unacceptable?

I'd rather just carry on digging out mass lumps of matter and regard it as some kind of achievement.

Just started playing this again, never been on a multiplayer game before but would be interested to try if i'm able? :) Username is _Silent_Witness_

Me & Rossi speculating whether it might be a bit more fun if we crank up the difficulty level, thoughts people?

Update out, can't get onto server, *panics*

Also, who can give me some good advice on 'texture packs'? :)

It's a minor update, I think vol just needs to update the server to match it.

1.2.4 is out ->> (complete changelog here) <<-
>> Server has been updated to 1.2.4 <<

Vidic - texture packs, I really love the "soartex fanver", but it's almost impossible for it to be run without the optifine patch for some reason.

Give 'sphax pure dbcraft' also a look, it's very popular.

Anyone want to play ultra-hardcore survival some time? You need this mod: http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/1008473-124-xxxhardcorexxx-mod/ and we would need a different server, but essentially the game is that everyone starts somewhere randomly on the server, and its a PVP last man standing wins. You cannot regain health from food, but you can from golden apples and glistening melons.

However the recipe's for said Melons and Apples require 8 gold bars, not gold ingots to make, meaning that it is much harder to get the required gold to recover. With 8 people on a 2000x2000 server it would take a few hours for everyone to die.

Once you die you have to leave the server, don't cheat or fly about or anything.

MincraftLP's playing it:

Incidentally, that type of thing is why I love minecraft. What other game can you create such a great sub game so easily, with so much tension. COD? no. Left4dead? No.

In fact before now the only games that would come close would be 8+ player RTS games, which are mostly dead aside from Starcraft 2

been meaning to play this a bit again. its been like weeks. cant decide on a new project though :(

We should start a new server and all build together in a town like last time :(

I haven't played in ages either. Not sure what I'd build though. I've started a new minecraft world tooo many times.

Aye. I must admit the old server had a certain feel to it which is missing on the current one.

Its a hard one though, having the space to be able to build properly, but whilst still having that nice "town" feel.

I have thought of a little idea though. Hmmmmmmm.

Well, we did try to start together and it worked for a bit, but since then people needed space for their projects .. I don't think we'll restart the world until new major release comes our way - 1.3 or 2.x

Would be interesting to see what happens there, we can keep in mind the idea of sticking more closely together from the start.

very nice.

i really need to get back into minecraft. I just need some inspiration on what to build. my death star just became too much of a chore to try to build, sitting up in the sky.

feel free to destroy it if its in the way.

Very nice. I always find that I think a new server is a good idea at the time, but then in turns out to be even more boring.

I've committed a crime.. I've... I've... I joined another server :nervous:

So what do you do on this.

Firstly avoid death from the enemies which are Zombies, Spiders, Creepers and Skeletons. Skeletons are archers and shoot you, Zombies grab you, spiders are fast buggers, and Creepers explode.

Then you will probably want to find some nice junk. Find Diamond, Gold, Iron and if you want to do some circuitry Redstone.

At which point hopefully your mind will be blown. Build. Create. Live.

Did you pay monies?

No I found it on a Minecraft forum, it's a 'mature' server for 18+ year olds and you just have to apply, you can donate if you wish to. They've built some quality things on it so far. It has many active players which is why I joined it really, nobody played on redcafe one lately :(

Honestly I was the same as you, just liked building so bought it, then you realise that there is a lot more fun to be had than just building, I highly recommend you buy it.

If you die then you drop all the tools and materials you have on you and get sent back to your spawn.
