Gaming Minecraft | New caf 1.18 SMP server SIGN UP?

I saw diamonds on the edge of the "cliff" and dug down to it, only to fall off the edge, through bedrock and out of the world.

The Central Station of the Redcafe server. I think I'm right in saying that it was mostly made by Ralaks and myself, with a lot of help from others on the server such as Urban-Ned, Rich, Grouse and Rossi, probably more too. :nervous:

That, shouldnt be possible :O

Edit-

That's what happened to me when I fell through the world.
Oh I see. I remember that happening on SMP a long time ago,

The station looks so cool, good work lads. I think now we need some way of bringing everyones houses closer together - we're all quite spaced out at the moment. Maybe some sort of road system? Only because some people have made some awesome houses so far and it'll be a shame if they're so far out of the way that nobody can admire them

Well and truly not sure if serious.

I wasn't sure as it sounded like you were describing the station that you'd just mentioned! :D

I get what you mean though, I might build a 2nd home that is closer to everyone.

nice work with the station lads.

I think being a bit more spaced out is a good thing, last time pretty much the entire underground area beneath "town" had been excavated and mined dry.

Anyone know of a way to get multiplayer working with a dodgy copy of the game? only got what was passed on to me from a mate as things stand. Can't be bothered spending £15 just to join the caf server

It's worth it, just to be able to spend time with me, Vim, Obstacle, Ralaks and the crew :D

Well worth it, but then I bought it with the reasoning that I don't play my PS3 as much these days and I hardly buy any PS3 games, so taking a £15 punt on a potentially excellent game was well justified to me!

 I did the same and multiplayer didn't work for mine either. As far as I know there isn't a way to get multiplayer working

Minecraft is easily the best value for money game around in my opinion, worth every penny.

You really should bother spending them because it's worth, not for the server.

vol the server is having some troubles, vast gaps in the map are a re-occurring problem that's becoming a bit tiresome, any thoughts?

If you take my railway, theres 3-4 places where it is prone to happen. :(

I've restarted the server, some of the most buggy things seem to be gone, but if you encounter such thing, post screenshots here and coordinates so I can investigate

Wow, thats not really what I expected or what I've seen as buggy patches. Will check the coordinates later, but looks like a proper hole!! you say stuff falls through?

NPCs seem to fall through, I fell in one and I just seemed to hang there.

When you restart/disconnect, most times it solves it and the hole dissappears

i had the same thing. for the most part stuff just floated over the holes at ground level, although when i started hitting a sheep into the "hole" it did indeed fall.

as did i.

So apparently they're called Chunk Errors and have been around since forever.

Some are suggesting that it might be related somehow to generating new world, while using the same world name. But I completely wiped out the old directory. Interesting.

Best tip I've found so far: "Resetting your render distance causes the chunks to refresh, so this can be used as well."

Meanwhile, OptiFine for 1.2.3 has been updated and you should try it :)

Found a map renderer that works with 1.2.3 and can be run directly on the server, running first render right now, will make it run every 12 hours or even more often, depending on how much it loads the server.

Output is cool google maps like web page :-)

You might want to take a look at the 'cave' render :)

p.s.
and before anyone asks, nope, I've no idea why some blocks are pink!

Awesome, you are the man vol!

The onus is really on me to build a nice building now!

Looks like Melons & Stone-brick turn out pink. :D

while we're on the subject if vids I was searching for stuff about note blocks to see if I could do something cool and found this

pretty nuts
