Gaming Minecraft | New caf 1.18 SMP server SIGN UP?

There is a lot of crazy redstone stuff in Minecraft these days
 
I sort of fancy getting back into Minecraft. Anyone got a multiplayer server (preferably not too many mods) that I could join in on?
 
Damn it's been a while since I've been on this, is the RedCafe server still running?
 
Nah Vol packed it in due to the fact that nobody was playing on it any more.
 
Ive a fair bit of it recently. Made a normal world with a few mates, then updated to the latest snapshot and made a new world, then made a FTB world. So I'd be up for playing
 
Whats the difference between Tekkit and others like FTB?

I could just google it.

 
They're both modpacks, which contain similar core mods and then variations of other peripheral mods.

Tekkit came first and definitely runs better but it's not fully endorsed by all of the mod makers. The creator basically said 'feck you' to those who didn't give permission.

FTB is fully endorsed by the mod makers and even has some of them working on it for optimization. It also has better mods, imo, but it doesn't run as well given the number of them and the fact that it hasn't been around as long. (Doesn't really matter if you have a good PC though)

Btw, me and VIM are both playing on a vanilla server if anyone wants to join us. He's posted it here before but pm me if you want the details.

What makes you say it runs better, that video suggested the opposite although it is a few months out of date. When I first used Tecnik I didnt really 'get it' but I understand FTB a bit better (depsite them being basically the same). One thing I love about FTB is that with Gregtech on hard, a lot of FTB is basically end-game stuff, and everything is quite well balanced.

I'll join although I can only play in the evenings. What version of MC are you playing?
 
Yeah I am interested. Havn't played in ages though apparently there is a bunch of new stuff wouldn't mind getting back into it again.
 
I'd be interested. I get a bit bored with single player after a while. Only so many super structures you can build and wander around on your own.
 
I'd like to force some other caftards to play it for a laugh, ones who wouldnt normally be into it.

Not sure how many would be up for it.

It's mostly about having a laugh I guess, especially at this point when the game has been out in some form or other for years. Unlike pretty much every other game out there, you've complete freedom to lark about with your mates until ILC bans you.

It depends entirely on what you want to do. Fight and hunt monsters? Build a massive castle? Play made up games like Blocks vs Zombies or Super Hostile? feck with your mind?

It's just a good lark. I assume IGN means "internet game name" or something.

I would love to get some Minecraft going again although I probably won't even be able to remember the crafting recipes etc - IGN is Viskahn though if I could get an add
 
Server is getting good. Slowly slowly. Need to keep having fun.
 
I've got a pretty hectic week this week but will start making an appearance next week. Need to think of some ideas for my "projects"
 
Nightmare of a day so far. Can't wait to get back and play this. The addiction is starting.
 
I hope no one damaged my hut. I must have spent all of five minutes putting that together.
