I'll probably set up portals too, but I was planning on making a rail link. Much more fun! :D

Also, the same goes for the cows in the pen near my keep. Feel free to use them for beef, leather or just to satisfy an urge to mindlessly slaughter something. Theres a chest with wheat there....so please feed up any survivors and, if you can be arsed, replace the wheat from the crop nearby.
 
Still haven't managed to get time to do this yet. Will anyone be on tomorrow? I'll need a tour, I know what I'm doing with crafting and stuffs though so should be a quick'un.

Btw: If anyone has any stacks of dirt laying around that they want rid of, I'll take it. There's a 'Dirt Box' near my hut....or just drop me a message telling me where I can pick it up from.

The structure to the left is Rich's castle....which is class, btw...

Once I've filled in the 'land' area, which will effectively be the grounds of the place, I'll start on the structure itself.

At some point I'll make the whole thing less square and more natural looking.
 
:lol: We should strike a deal. If you make a tower descending to the seabed, so water doesn't get in, and a chest at the top, I can make tunnels under your castle for diamonds and in return you get all the cobble.

I shudder to think how much cobble you're going to need to finish that.

I appreciate the offer and I'll gladly take any building materials you don't want, but sorry mate, I plan on having my own tunnel network under there. Cobble is one thing....but think how many diamond tools I am going to have to go through! :eek: I used three diamond shovels just clearing the soil from that mountain where my keep is. I'm going to need all the diamonds I can get.

:lol: worth at ry. On a side note though use cobble, why waste diamonds on such a massive project? You're going to have a world of cobble at your feet. Just use that. I don't ever use diamond tools for every day shit.
 
I'll probably use iron picks for the majority of work, tbh....but the shovels don't last long enough, so I'll use diamonds for those.

I'm also planning on making some stuff from Obsidian too. :)

Overall, I'm going for something that looks similar to this in style...



...although nowhere near as extravagant, of course.
 
Yeah. I'm trying to make a cobble generator as well as a waste disposal unit that doesn't flood Zarlak's tunnels... :lol:

When you place the lava block with the bucket, it vanishes straight away. Then you can click anywhere and the bucket is refilled.
 
I had a sneaky look round the other day mate....it really is impressive. Especially with my HD texture pack.

I'm going to have to come up with some good ideas for my castle to keep the neighbourhood looking good. :)

Not been on a great deal the last week or so....but it's getting there....slowly. :lol:

It's a larger area than that pic suggests, tbh. It's 192x192 I think. That's 36864 blocks....or 576 stacks! :lol:

If I had the stacks of dirt readily available, I'd have it done in no time. Collecting the dirt without making a complete mess of parts of the map is a pain.

I'm a little out of ideas right now, but it will be resolved, sooner or later.

Weird. I don't have the first clue about Minecraft server settings, so I don't have any ideas. It's definitely only lava buckets that are affected though. That's why I assumed it was some sort of parameter setting to stop griefers. Could it maybe be something that's attached to Lockette or another addon you have running?

huh, just logged in. all my dogs are gone/killed and various random blocks missing from the house.


seems we have another troll. sigh.
 
To be fair that may be the fire. I noticed your dogs were gone but assumed the fire killed them. I logged in yesterday and despite having my dog set to sit, it warped outside to meet me, through my fire and was burning. It then randomly extinguished itself.
