Thank God he’s conscious
Glad he’s conscious.
Find it a stark reminder of the times we live in that people come across an incident like this and take photos to share it.
Was the same up in Edinburgh for a man who died horrifically in the busiest part of the city the other week there. People gagging to share for internet clout.
This summer in Sweden, a kid drowned in a pool and paramedics were delayed getting to the scene because they had to fight their way through people surrounding him, recording him dying.Glad he’s conscious.

You’re probably right. But it still depresses me. You know they’re not taking photos with his concern at the forefront of their minds.Has that not always happened? People slowing down to car accidents and pictures of the wreckages always end up in papers even before the Internet became a major thing.
Just glad Antonio is stable and concious as from the first statement I really was fearing the worst was imminent.
He's a great example to any young pro of how hard work and graft can keep you at the top level of Football for most of your career.
Feck me that’s grim. This summer in Sweden, a kid drowned in a pool and paramedics were delayed getting to the scene because they had to fight their way through people surrounding him, recording him dying.
The sheer number of absolute psychos in the world is scary.

Yeah.Pictures can look a lot worse if they had to cut the car up to get him out.
Should go to jail tbhThis summer in Sweden, a kid drowned in a pool and paramedics were delayed getting to the scene because they had to fight their way through people surrounding him, recording him dying.

Looks horrific but cars are designed to crumple these days so hopefully the frame held and protected him as it's designed to do
Slowing down cars to accident yes but taking pictures no , not because they were better or anything like that its just that didn't used to have their camera phones but even that seems long time ago .Has that not always happened? We still got pictures on the papers. Warhol made an entire art piece series on it, in the 60sSlowing down cars to accident yes but taking pictures no , not because they were better or anything like that its just that didn't used to have their camera phones but even that seems long time ago .
Oh I am not saying they didn't have pictures just that not many had means to take pictures and share it like nowadays , so it moot making comparisons .We still got pictures on the papers. Warhol made an entire art piece series on it, in the 60s
Obviously I'm wishing him well.
But his contract is up at the end of the season, the cynic in me says that West Ham let him go a la Richard Gough/Derby
Hoping he recovers enough to play again at some level
oh god i need to change that, not what i meant atallUhh, I think I know what you mean.
You never know. Christian Eriksen died and still plays.I suspect he won’t play football again
He wasn't signed by the WHU academy he was signed as a first-team player from Forest when he was in his early/mid 20's.A West Ham supporting mate of mine says Antonio has an interesting life story.
He was constantly in trouble with the Police when he grew up in south London. Muggings, theft, shoplifting etc. His ability to play football was one of his few redeeming features and he played his way through various amateur leagues before being spotted and signed by West Hams youth academy.
After establishing himself he now spends much of his free time helping disadvantaged youngsters in the London area. Speaking to youth groups in an attempt to show young lads that there is a better alternative to a life of crime.
Michail Antonio is clearly one of lifes good guys who deserves to fully recover from this dreadful accident. I wish him well.
True although a leg break (and likely other injuries) will be hard to come back from at the age and with so much time out.You never know. Christian Eriksen died and still plays.
I dunno. Might be a hologram. You never know. Christian Eriksen died and still plays.
I don't understand all the sympathy. You don't wreck your car or yourself like that by driving the speed limit. feck him and glad nobody else was caught up in it.
