Looks horrific but cars are designed to crumple these days so hopefully the frame held and protected him as it's designed to do
Kinda looks like the roof and pillars were destroyed by the crash itself and not from the extraction. Though the fold up top was probably emergency personnel. If that's the case it def looks terrible. As others have said- hope the pic makes it look worse for him than it was.

I live local and heard a few rumours about this - they're not good. I hope they're all rubbish and he's okay.
I don't think anyone walks away from that crash doing okay.
What time was it? Was he on way to training?
I don't know many details on his activity. It wouldn't surprise me if he was on his way to/from training. That sort of area is home to a fair few West Ham players so does seem likely he was on his way to/from their training ground.
I do know they had two fire crews out and some difficulty on where the air ambulance was going to land as he was in the middle of a forest.
Hope he is well enough to continue playing football.
