Hope we see movement in the couple of weeks after the cup final, would be great to get it done early and move on to the next one.

His one on one ability is really really high. He easily pass players. And with his good finish. Really high level of creative. Chances and goals.

Adam Wharton is a must for me now. Bring the connection Wharton & Olise to United. Will be 2 key factors for United success in the future. Special when it come to create chances and scoring goals.

Absolutely, anyone else you’d like? Maybe we can throw in Eze for you as well. Or the kitman.

Relax. You aren't going to keep all of them for sure . If anything, it's a testament to your way of running club.

No of course we’re not. Guehi is a definite gonner, 2 years left and he won’t sign a new deal. Olise also likely to go but also not totally impossible that he stays.

Wharton however, he’s played 16 games for Crystal Palace after talking to us for well over a year, having been convinced that Palace is the ideal place for him to develop. He’s got a platform to play every game and has just got in to the provisional England squad. Why on earth would he want to leave Palace at this point (having just moved South) and even moreso, why would we have any inclination to sell him given who else might leave? Silly suggestions like that are what wind me up :D

The release clause is only for offers from champions league clubs.

We want every left footed RW and every LB in world football.

Us (Chelsea) going for Olise is about as dumb as us looking at McKenna and Maresca to be our manager.

We’re loaded with players in attacking midfield as it is and have bought about 15 “wonder kids” that play on the wings for huge money, too. Spending £60m+ on Olise would be ridiculous.

Literally about to spend a bunch on the next big thing and flashy winger from Brazil too

No clue what the thinking would be spending 60m on Olise with the embarrassment of riches already in the wide areas.

Sounds like a very scatterbrained approach but that's pretty much what it's been since Boehly got there.

Can you name the players making up the 'embarrassment of riches' who have proven recent fitness levels and are first team ready?

We have Mudryk, Sterling, Madueke and Palmer. That's it. Mudryk will probably go out loan. Sterling will be sold at the drop of a hat. And then we have the sickbay stalwarts Nkunku and Carney.

There is nothing scatterbrained about the strategy. Some are bought for immediate first team action, some for the multiclub-loan system. Olise just makes sense - age profile, PL experience, already knows the club, more of a playmaker which we sorely lack when Nkunku is out (and maybe Palmer rested).

And Estevão.

Oops. It probably doesn't matter in the end. It depends on where the player wants to go.

Olise’s next club are going to have woo him with a compelling footballing vision and a massive wedge. Man Utd cant do the first right now.

appraently chelsea botched their signing attempt. They met the release fee, Palace said : ok, you can now talk to him….and they just didnt.

Olise only makes sense for Chelsea if Madueke goes the opposite way in the deal. I quite like Madueke, but Olise is a different level of prospect. If we could get rid of Sterling, I suppose you could move Palmer away from the RW but realistically we’d have 3 left footed RWs and then Mudryk as the sole LW.

How capable is Olise in playing off the left? I’m pretty convinced Madueke can’t do it and it would be a waste of Palmer’s talent to shove him out of position.

A LW makes a lot more sense for Chelsea in my view but sometimes there’s logic in just signing the best player you can.

If they want to compete on all fronts next year, Chelsea could easily play 65 fixtures next season with the new European format (which adds 2-4 fixtures prior to the knockouts) and the Club World Cup. You need a deep squad.
