Music Michael Jackson is Dead (All general comment)

just as i started watching terminator salvation...must be a connection there. could he be skynet ?

RiP

I think what I played upon was how the fact people cared about her becuase she had suddenly contracted cancer, it was laughable.

Jackson, whatever you say about him, affected billions of people, the majority of whom for the better.

Changing your mind and caring for Goody after cancer is laughable, and not changing our attitude because whacko has died is criminal??

MJ turned himself into a joke the last twenty or so years. No wonder so many people aren't taking his death seriously.

From what I remember, you cracked jokes that directly made fun of her.

How can you justify being able to make jokes about a dying mother, but not Michael Jackson? Can you not admit that it makes you a hypocrite?

I couldn't give a shit about the jokes, I find jokes of this sort funny. I just don't see how you can revel in the joke-making of one person, yet take the moral high ground on the joke making of another.

I don't mind jokes about Jackson, it's the child abuse jokes I find distasteful and unfunny.

Elisabeth Fritzl?

...obviously fathers who keep their children in dungeons for the best part of 20 years are the exceptions to the rule...

Its like you have to be specific with anything you say on this forum, total lack of common sense.

GENERALLY SPEAKING - it's hard to say that a child is 'better off' without its father.

To be fair to Elvis I remember him mocking the new found status she had achieved as a result of her misfortune, how the media went from evil to angel as soon as the c word came about. It is bit of a joke to be fair, but I dont think he mocked her death or was happy she left us.

Unlike some on here.

Well said mate, my opinions as well.

We mourn, leave us the feck alone.

But this is the problem with the caf. Theres always some wise guy looking for an argument and decides to go against the grain to get attention. For me, death isn't a funny matter, perhaps i'm still feeling sore from my granddad dying, but I don't find it amusing that some wise guys decide to post bollocks up in this thread.

People simply don't think or care about others. They won't either unless they're told. So I appoligise for making a fuss but I ain't laughing.

Generally speaking yes, but he was not being general was he, he was naming Jacko..

I've seen a few jokes already.

Bad taste, but they were funny. Sometimes it's possible to laugh at the joke even if you don't find the situation funny.

But it's possibly a bit insensitive to people who were real fans. Would it be insensitive to start a thread for them too? That way the fans won't have to see them and be offended.

It's absolutely inappropriate.

We should have some standards.

It has nothing to do with the individual's personal relationship with him or his music. Please don't bring this up - it holds no water with regard to counter-attacking individuals who would sincerely like to uphold some standard of ethics (not necessarily pay reverence to the life and sudden death of an iconic individual). This is a huge moment in cultural history, take note.

Spot on.

Even losing your billianaire, celebrity Dad can affect a child, believe it or not.

At the end of the day, them kids will live with this forever. We'll forget about this tomorrow morning.

Right, I'm off to bed. RIP Jacko, in the next life I hope you find peace, love and the nose which you have sorely missed for the last 18 years.

I'm off to bed before I have to wipe my arse on a sponge again.

I didnt laugh at any of the MJ jokes but thats mostly because they were shit jokes - Im still waiting for the good ones ...

I am also currently listening to 'Bad', not heard it in years, classic stuff - shame it was all downhill from there ...

Can't you guys at least just leave people here who obviously are sadden by the death of Jackson alone? Or do you feel the need to act tough on the internet because you aren't in real life.

We are all humans behind the nickname and some feel the need to pay tribute to a dead person. If you see a thread someone made about him/her losing one father your not going to start making jokes or say how ridiculous it is to post it on the internet. People have needs to express themselves wether it be strange or not and we should respect that and perhaps back off.

We don't like it when someone is spewing shit about our beloved Best because we love him and there are people here who love Jackson and the music he gave to the world so you should know how people here feel about the shit posted here.

Grow up, if your so appalled people actually feel the need to post "RIP" why do you feel the need do shoot people down for it, because thats a lot more stupid.
