Too many defenders, do not like.
Against sides with midget attackers like City and Liverpool we can drop Bailly and play Mata back there as a deeper lying Pirlo type.

Mata while not as good as Ozil, works harder, is better in big matches and doesn't seem to mind getting benched. If we get Ozil, most likely our front four with be Lukaku, Ozil, Sanchez and Martial, with Mata, Lingard and Rashford as quality backups. I don't think that we can afford to get rid of any of the attacking players we have at the moment (bar Mhiky and Zlatan). We could always wave Mata and £20m at them

We've got a stack of players due to leave. Blind clearly has no future here, fellaini wants a move, ibra will leave in the summer or before, carrick has a heart problem, surely he'll retire now and there are a few others who could move on. That's a lot of money in wages right there.
Can you imagine something like this?If we can somehow get Goretzka that is our entire MF and attack solved within 50M. Then a WC RB and LB and we're there
If he did come...with a midfielder that helps support Pogba as most suggest..how would you see the line up looking?
Yeah, he's not staying there and what are his options? Now that Sanchez looks done - I think we will take Özil in the summer as well.
It is speculated that Arsenal board think Özil may yet sign a new contract, but why would he? Why leave it this late?
There are no reasons for him to stay there now...
Özil would be dumb as feck to stay there coming into the twilight years of his career.
- Arsenal won’t match the wage he wants.
- Özil will get a huge signing on bonus if he moves on a free.
- It is unlikely they’ll be in the Champions League next year.
- It’s pretty certain that Arsenal will not be challenging for major trophies (except FA Cup) in the next few years. Well as long as Wenger is there, anyway. And even if he’s not, it’s probable they will go through similar period as we did, when Sir Alex left. Their squad is ageing and needs gutted from top to bottom, imo.
- It’s clear to see how much ambition Kroenke & co have. That won’t change over the course of next six months.
I think it’s a certainty that he leaves. Which brings me onto the question: where will he go? What are his realistic options?
I can’t really think anyone other than United. Any plausible suggestions?
It’s highly likely that we will start next season with 2 of Arsenal’s best players in our squad. It’s absolutely fecking mad when you think about it.
I’d 8-2 be and Arsenal fan.
200mil? I thought we're going bankrupt by the time the deal is done. You do realise that this will be £200m if we do get him on a free in the summer?

Juve if Dybala goes would be brilliant for him I think. I'd love him here on a free, but feel like he'd tear up Serie A and Juve love a bargain. Now that Sanchez looks done - I think we will take Özil in the summer as well.

Probably not, but if we don't, who will really? Chelsea maybe? I'm not sure who else tbh and I think he'd do well at Juve.Juve will not pay the wages he wants.
The problem is only one can be added to CL squad. It's a tough situation. Also, Arsenal found it hard to just replace Alexis even it's the rare swap deal with us pushing Mkhi toward them. Replacing Ozil who has been a big help for them this season, now is a tough task. Even 40 mil would do them no good as any player they would inquire for would trigger the selling club to up the price further. We should offer them Mkhi + £30m and get Alexis and Ozil this window.
Lukaku
Martial - Ozil - Sanchez
Pogba - Matic
As good a side as any in the league.

I too agree that were his best options and think he'll come here. I'm just saying as an alternative if we weren't to go for him, Juve is where it's at for him I reckon. He’ll do well anywhere he goes. I don’t think Barca will go for him as they’ve Coutinho now and it seems they’re getting Griezmann now too.
With Chelsea, I don’t they’ll pay the wages he’d want either.
I think United is his only option - which is great because we’d have an awesome squad.
Özil, Lingard, Mata, Martial, Rashford, Lukaku and Sanchez. You could also say Pogba since he has 9 assists in 13 games for us. We’d have amazing attacking options.
I think he willAlan Smith is saying his sources within the club are saying Ozil is very close to signing a new deal at Arsenal.

What about;
4-4-3 with Matic holding, Pogba and new CM, Ozil RWF and Sanchez LWF

Yeh but if we have a new CM we don’t need one. De Gea is off anyway.
