Ozil "sensationally" claims it would be a dream to play for United or Chelsea.
ThisBased on the current reported Valuations. A failure to make a Bid for Ozil would have nothing to do with our alleged lack of finances. It would mean that the manager does not believe he is as good as he seemed during the world cup or that he does not fit in to his plans

Remember the blog which said Ozil WILL join Utd? Well 'admin' has posted again and stands by what he said. Apparently we'll lodge a bid after the Ireland game, and his source is 'VERY well placed' and not a relative of Ozil's.
Personal message regarding Mesut Özil story | Busbyway - Manchester United fansite
Forgive me for making a serious post in this thread, but I think players of Ozil's quality-price aren't available every day, and thus we should sign him regardless of whether we need him or not.

so if ozil comes to OT, busbyway will tell us 'we told you so' and if he does not, people say they were wrong like the rest of the media that deals with transfer speculation...
In the meantime they re getting a bit of exposure...
Since yesterday evening. Is the team back in Manchester yet?
Not to be too optimistic, but surely he'd be more likely to come to us than Chelsea. He's far more likely to go into our team either behind Rooney or on the left. I couldn't see Chelsea putting him in ahead of Lampard or Malouda based on the seasons they had last year.
I would cream myself if this deal actually happened.
Neither Lampard nor Malouda are the youngest anymore, so this transfer would make perfect sense for Chelsea imo.
But who knows whether they are interested at all... I just hope we are.
It would, but he's not likely to be ahead of either in the next 2 seasons, and Lampard has an insane natural fitness, he's likely to be on his A game til he's at least 33/34. Therefore, it makes sense for Chelsea long term, but not Ozil short-term.

He may also rate Gibson as better then Ozil or it could be the case that he still think that Hargreaves may return in few weeks time.
On a serious note if SAF doesn't rate Ozil then I respect that. Stating that our central midfield does need strengthening. We can get away with it in other areas but we simply can't close an eye to central midfield.
IF he is coming why are we waiting until after the ireland match to lodge a bid?
