Why would we be interested in signing Ozil when weve got those great young players Fergie keeps speaking about we saw against Kansas City?
It was only a pre-season game
I trust Fergie's judgement

Really? I always understood it that you had to bet 5 to win 1 back. Or 500 to win 100 basically (for real gamblers). Reverse odds.

Hey ho, had enough of the transfer window anyway lets get the season going.
Misspelling of "miss out on". It's still very much on.I didn't know 'mesut' was a verb. Does Ozil even want to be mesutted?
Imagine how long this summer would have been without the World Cup?
I must have clicked re-fresh a billion times

And from ChristianMCR (works in football) on Twitter:
"Werder will hold out for the maximum fee and #mufc won't enter that bidding. Very open where Özil is going to end up."
Why for a modest fee? Bremen are going to do their best to push it up and there should be enough interest, I know he's not going to fetch £30m+ because of his contract, but I'd expect them to be able to hold out for at least £20m
Is he really what we need?
He played a free role just behind the strikers at the world cup. Berbatov has played in pretty much same space. Park also plays a similar role in Europe. If a striker is signed or Hernandez hits it off then Rooney might just take up a similar role to Ozil.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but have we ever signed a German? I'm struggling to think of one..

So he will go to Spurs for between £15-£20 Million, become a sucess then have a £35 Million price tag slapped on him.
Anywhere but United or Arsenal is a step down for this lad
If United will spend £10million on an entirely unproven Central Defender then surely the idea of spending £12-£15million on a kid who has proven himself to at least show he can compete at the very top and shown he can add something to the team that maybe the team is lacking then something strange is going on.
Anywhere above Bremen is a step up for this lad... I'm getting dizzy.
Why pass up the opportunity. I wonder if the opportunity just doesnt exist.
He doesn't "add something", he has literally carried Werder Bremen for a whole season.
Clearly if he was at the airport yesterday, it would be in the news today. And it's not.
Is it that difficult to read? Today's news say that he is still in Spain holidaying.
Sorry, I haven't seen his holiday blog.

Mesut Özil in Mallorca:
Good enough?
Since when has Manchester turned into a nice place?

Lailiani take it down a notch.
No need to jump at everyone's throat just because they don't know where Özil is every given second.
It's not about knowing where he is in every second, it's about the transfer muppetry. As much as I hate this term, the whole airport story was muppetry at its absolute worst. Start making up a story about a player you've seen at the airport and in the street, and as unbelievable as it is, people start believing it. Either this is intended to see whether the papers will copy this rumour or it's the worst rubbish I have read on here, ITKs in the newbies used to get for lesser things much more stick (yes, even from you). Nothing wrong with transfer storys, but this one isn't even based on a newspaper.
