Nothing in the German press, what a load of shite. Allofs just stated today that they want to keep him and rather let him go on a free next year than sell him this year, because they want to successfully play Champions League.

Nope, he's going to Arsenal, didn't you see what that columnist said on the Bleacher site. It had the word confirmed and everything........

I would be really pissed if he joins Le'Arse for £20mill and we didnt even put in a bid because i would see that as "value" tbh.

By the sounds of it were after Sneijder so I wouldn't get that upset.

We're more likely to find Bin Laden and use the reward money to re-sign Forlan than sign Sneijder. It would be great if it happened, but why would he want to leave and why would Inter sell him. Moratti says there's interest, but if he has any brains he will resist any offers for Sneijder.

I think Ozil is a perfect signing for our current transfer policy ('value'). He's young, has resale value, in the final year of his contract, won't cost an astronomical fee and said he admires the PL.

I'm concerned that we won't (realistically) be able to afford Sneijder and consequently miss out on Ozil. Then we'll have to hear David Gill/SAF proudly announce we tried to get Sneijder, but they weren't selling.

Call me a cynic, but I feel the Sneijder stories are being leaked by someone at OT in the hope the fans are 'persuaded' the club is doing all it can to sign the best players in the world, its just the circumstances to sign those players are impossible and we will never sign them, subsequently missing out on more realistic targets.

I think your e spot on re: Sneijder. Inter wont sell and if the FSW decides to sell, someone else will outbid us.

Yeah been hearing that a lot today and to be frank it's biggest pile of bullshit ever.

:lol:Christ. The bid's been confirmed by Inter's president but please don't let that stop your conspiracy theories.

Think I'm going to get Ozil on my home shirt and Sneijder on my away one. I'm going to queue up at the megastore, best take a marker pen in case they are there to sign my new shirts

Wait, has Ballague said anything yet?

I'm not doubting we have placed a bid, but is it realistic to expect him to leave Inter or for Inter to want to sell him? We can bid for Maicon or Torres, but would it be realistic for either to join us?

All I'm saying is we can try to get Sneijder, but unless Inter are stupid enough to sell him, it's going to be close to impossible to get him. Sneijder is a better player than Ozil atm and would be my preferred signing, but on the balance of probabilites, Ozil is a far more likely signing. Why not try to sign a player who is more likely to join you?

beat me to it!!

Might knock a few million off his transfer fee....

We have seen the real Germany, the real Ozil tonight

It's easy to seem a phenomenon playing against Australia, Ghana...

Germany are full of average players and they have been outplayed

He was fine today, was the only spark in that struggling German side.

Has definitely had a more impressive WC than say Messi, Rooney, Ronaldo or Kaka.

World Cup loser now, we'll get him for £3 million + Diouf.

Vs. Australia: Great despite a couple bad misses
Vs. Serbia: Anonymous bar a through ball to Podolski.
Vs. Ghana: Generally a bit average but a cracking goal
Vs. England: Terrific
Vs. Argentina: Average
Vs. Spain: Below average

After having watched todays game its clear that Ozil needs to be in a team which is feeding him with plenty of possession and running the game which allows him to drift and strike with cutting edge movements.

I don't think he'd fit the gaping hole in our midfield... we need a player who operates deeper.

bollocks. He was one of the better, if not the best player for Germany in attack. Germany played shite I agree.

Coming from your point of view is like saying we've seen the real Rooney/Messi this WC, it's easy to..blah blah.

You forgot to say, 'You can quote me on this.' No harm done, I've quoted you anyway
