I found the biggest problem with the last one was the constant repeat posting of the same story/tweet/rumour etc etc. Would it not be beneficial to have 2 threads. 1 just for the stories and rumours and another for the discusion.

Rumour is that Bremen are trying to offload him as fast as they can seeing as how he will be out of contract next summer.

Exactly. I wouldn't mind a thread which contains rumours without any basis or jokes or something like that. You'd know what you'd get so you could easily skip it.
But it makes threads like this difficult to read if you can no longer distinguish between real news and rubbish gossip because everything is mixed up. Obviously, people won't stop posting their gossip and their WUM stories so the best thing would be to create a thread where those sort of things are allowed so that threads like this can be kept on a sane level and don't become a pain to read.

If Guardiola has rejected him, that leaves us as the real favorites to sign him. I personally can't see Chelsea signing him because they've got Lamps, Benayoun and Malouda who can play as the 3 midfielders plus Essien.

Summary of last few days.
SAF at Craven Cottage in a game that Ozil played in but, when asked if he was there for him - he said no, it was to watch Fulham. Asked if we were interested in Ozil and he said many clubs are but, he his happy with his squad.
Subsquently there was a report that Werder and Barca had an agreement in place but, awaiting Pep signoff. Pep ended saying he wanted to stick to his youth.
Next day (today) it was rubbished by Werder and Ozil. Werder through Allofs saying they had not heard anything but, there has been some movement but, he isn't standing by the fax machine. Ozil saying he had knows nothing about Barca.
Then later there was a story about Chelsea entering the race but, nothing to even suggest that is the case.
Another story soon popped up today that Benfica were tying up a deal but, that quickly fizzled out.
Daniel Taylor of the Guardian tweeted that it was confirmed by sources that SAF was at Craven Cottage to look at Ozil and not to watch Fulham like he claimed. That SAF normally sends scouts unless it is an important CL game.
Since then there has been zero real news regarding Ozil except a WUM campaign on Social sites by some of our very own (and I egged on along with quite a few).

Unlikely. Wummery is covered in the forum rules, particularly here in the transfers. We are going to scrutinize the threads a bit more after that rampant muppet show of a thread.

The one that was closed, was closed just when we were having fun (and not working). If it had been closed a few hours earlier it would have made sense, but just when all the nonsense had died away and it was being spoofed, the mod squad arrived.
