Between 1959-2021, Argentina only won Copa 3 times in 62 years. Argentina lost to Uruguay with Maradona in semis in “Buenos Aires” in 1987. The last time Argentina won was in 1993 till 2021, so no they are not regular winners. Messi won 2 Copa MVP awards + 1 WC MVP award and they had a good game against the best Germany in the last 20 years that destroyed Brazil 7-1 in WC 2014. Portugal with Ronaldo meanwhile could not even go beyond the group stage behind mighty USA in the same WC.
