His goalscoring figures are padded through some of the regional football, but nobody remembers him for that. He's remembered because he up against the majority of the great defenders of his time - Beckenbauer, Schulz, Burgnich, Facchetti, Rosato, Moore, etc - and got the better of them all. He dominated Brazilian football, he dominated South America and he dominated the international game, both at club level (look at how he destroyed the European Champions Benfica) and for Brazil. It's hard to imagine him doing any more against top opposition frankly.
