The thing about the lad is that I sense he's hungry to do well. I like that. Have a great feeling about him. Buzzing like hell. If United could just win their match on Saturday and Chelski beat the Pool, it'll be a wonderful end to the week....
 
Delighted with this signing, an excellent player that will add pace and goals to the side There's no need to spend a fortune on Bale now either.

Not a huge shock (or is it? I actually don't know how shocked everyone is, to be honest... Is this move surprising for most people?)
but anyway... Great signing! I like relatively stocky and pacey wing-forwards, who cut infield and love a shot.
 
Pleased with this. A young talent signed nice and early in the window, quickly and without any fuss. There will be more to follow soon I'm sure.

Yeah, I guess the timing is unexpected, but it always seemed that he was United bound this summer, provided we wanted him.
 
His talent is in his individual flair and his own ability to do things on his own. He has a great a shot but and this is a big but he loses the ball as often as Di Maria and Falcao. He loves to score more than pass some times and he is at his best when he plays more direct. I know he can adapt and learn to play our way but should he?

Attitude: Confident player bordering on arrogant a bit like Ronaldo, not phased in big games

He will be at Madrid 5 years from now so lets enjoy him while he's here!.
 
V pleased and excited over Depay signing, LVG knows the player so really there should be no surprises my only concern is a bit like Di Maria, Depay is best running at defenders at speed, having the freedom to create, having the freedom to lose the ball trying to do something different.... if he is forced to pass, pass, pass sideways and backwards his coming is pointless, can only think that LVG will be tweaking the system again, maybe going 4-3-3 or even 2-5-3 and that scares me a little.... interesting times either which way!
 
I haven't seen much of him, but I've come to the conclusion that he's pretty much what happens when Ronaldo and Nani are blended into one player.

Everything I read of him reminds me of Nani, which isn't necessarily bad if he can improve his decision making.

Pleased as punch about this, looks a real talent and seems like a united type signing. Good we are getting some of our business done early particularly when others are vying for his signature. I always had a feeling he was heading here and the only reason he wouldn't be coming would be because we were never in for him!

I had this eerie feeling of Bayern swooping in at the last minute and signing him. I'm really glad I was proven wrong! Can't wait to see him play next year.
 
This 'last minute scoop' stuff sounds like total bollocks from the press. I highly doubt we were so flaky about this transfer. Think it's been decided for a long time. Memphis was just doing the sensible thing and seeing what the other clubs had to offer.

He really isn't, he actually holds the ball up with his back to defenders very well.
 
Sorry that's not right anymore. It was 2013-2014 but not this last season. He's knocked out a lot of the greedy side, is very much a team player and is a bugger to get the ball off.
