So guys and gals, which position do you think LVG will play him, right or left CB?

Don't be daft, he's naturally right footed so there's no way LVG would play him as the left CB...

This could very well mean that Di Maria is moving on.

Depay is a left sided forward.

It's actually a great signing for Di Maria, Depay is a real goal threat, so he will be at the end of Di Maria's failed crosses or shots.

OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH feck YEAH! MY MUPPET JUICES ARE OVERFLOWING. Great news to wake up to.

Told you! If LVG wanted him, he was always going to end up here.

Get in! :D

Lets hope we can add some other quality players to help him settle in.

Pleased with this signing thats for sure.

Now I'm no expert on Depay but I have heard he can play as striker too, with that in mind could we now not see us signing a striker this summer, Rooney, RVP, Depay might be enough?

Or am I talking rubbish?

Excellent early business, plus the price is a steal in todays market, good thing hes not english as then he`d probably be worth like 60 mill

The media just teased with the Liverpool fans and they actually thought they had a chance.

I think the fee is £25 million rather than the £20 million the thread title states. A good deal to start our transfer business off and I say deal because he hasn't actually signed yet, he's still got to have a medical.

The next discussion on here is inevitably going to be what number he is going to get.

I know one lad who will be delighted !

He's like Sterling with actual finishing ability. He'll be a smash if he can acclimatise quickly to this league, but im sure he will.

On a more positive note this puts us firmly in the race for Bale's signature!!

Ah who am i kidding

Recall the saying: 'never believe what you read in the newspapers'. I've been saying for quite awhile now the press no longer has a handle on clubs and their business. Many take their news from forums like us or from Twatter. They even take some of our buzz words which has been funny. I caught that Scouse Winter earlier in the season plagiarising. It's a shame but it was inevitable. The press has been living off its footy news but now that's gone we could actually see the demise of more mainstream newspapers. Sad but technology has killed them.
A few years back when I was on another forum, we were actually able to trace back a transfer rumour to it's source.....the source was the very forum where someone had created a thread asking what people thought of that player. From there some writer mentioned the player had become a subject of discussion on the forum, then as it progressed to various other writers within a week or so it became that United were about to sign the player (we did not).

It was quite funny.

I think that was this forum and it was Kaka being linked with us, wasnt it?

I think Sterling has more pace in him but I could be wrong.

Could be but its probably not by much. He looks very quick on the ball. His dribbling style is different though, I think he's a better dribbler than Sterling, a little more similar to Nani with his close dribbling style.

Nah that thread wasn't a discussion about the player, it was called Milan star dreams of United and was a made up news paper story/radio report.
