I think he’d be a sensible signing. Martial is out, Rashford is no #9 and Ronaldo is a prize berk. For a few million he’s worth a punt.

He'd be an excellent signing. Just get him in. He's not as good as Martial, but he is far better at dropping deep, linking up, holding up than anyone else we have and it's absolutely vital us.
Will we give him his number 7 shirt back as well?

More than sensible as a fallback given Ajax have rejected silly money for Antony. I like the bit I’ve seen of Gakpo, but Memphis has kicked on quite well since leaving United. He’s a lower risk and gets us through to signing Antony in the winter or next summer for much less than €90m.

We'd be getting Memphis and Antony, as one is a striker and one is a winger. We need both!

We need him in addition to Antony. We're really short upfront. Won't cost much.
For the price tag quoted I will jump into a chance to sign him. Could be a bargain at that price honestly and we are very thin with our options upfront.

Memphis hasn't played primarily LW since he left United and first joined Lyon where he moved centrally as a CAM first then occasional second striker and primarily CF
