The Eredivisie has yet to get on the extortion train and may feel it lacks the bargaining power given how many players that were great in that league bombed in better leagues. I figured we'd get him for £15-18M if we bother.
15m is a lot of money for Dutch clubs still as well, which helps

I think at the WC this summer he played mosty forward when he came from the bench. So another native winger turned as a forward by LVG

Not really. When he came on against Australia and they were losing the game, van Gaal changed the system with his substitution which essentially got them the win.

Everytime I watch the Eredivisie or the roundup show he's putting the ball in the back of the net, I've not seen an abundance of him, perhaps some Dutch fans on here could be better judges than i, but... he looks a good prospect certainly, fast, young, direct, scores goals etc.
Is he now a goalscorer, so would be signed as a striking option or a winger? Does he create as well?
13 goals in the Eredivisie in 1400mins. Only 4 assists though. He's also bagged 5 goals and 1 assist in the Eurupa League.
They play him as a left forward rather than a left winger.
When I've watched hes played left side, inside forward type in a 433, seen him with a few assists but the biggest thing i've noticed is he has an eye for goal, literally everytime they're showing the the games of the week hes got himself a goal,
he's 20-21? Van Gaal wants players who can stretch a defence in behind... then we could do worse than give this guy a good look from what I've seen.
He seems to be playing best football and getting loads of goals as a striker. However, people keep saying that he will be a winger for us, like it won’t affect his performances.
I’m not so sure if he’s what we need. I would take a fast, creative player over anyone. Depay looks more like a player who finishes moves, and we already have those.
For 10m he would be worth the risk I reckon, but I doubt he will leave for such peanuts.
This would be brilliant if we are playing in La Liga next season.
He would be a typical United signing in my opinion. Raw but with loads of talent.

Yeah, I agree. I'm pretty sure they were asking for €25m last summer, and his stock has definitely risen.
I don't see us getting him for less than £20m, he is still a bit raw and needs some work but he has a lot of potential and is improving all the time. In the summer we have to add 2 attacking players who can beat players and inject some pace into the side and I think depay would be a great addition and even if we did pull off a move for bale (don't see it happening) I would still sign depay as well.
I watch every PSV game now ..like the one going on right now,he is a beauty to watch, of course in my mind he is already a United player...but i did the same thing with Hazard so you never know.
They won't ask for anything less than £25 million just because we are Manchester United
If Shaw was worth 30mil to us, 25mil is defo worth it for Depay, the potential is all there
How much did Eriksen go for? Around £10m or so? I can't see Depay going for anymore than £15m. Suarez had an insane scoring recored and he was 'only' just over £20m if i recall correctly.
If we can finish in top 4 this season then I can see a team next season under van gaal where everyone in europe is taking note of us again with players like depay etc tearing teams apart
I would say 13 goals in 17 appearances is an amazing record for a 20 year old left winger.
Depay will cost at least 20m € according to dutch journalists. Everything depends of course how he plays from now to the end of the season.

Really hope we sign him instead of spunking 5-6 times that amount on Bale.
