Again I can see why people don't like him. In terms of sports though and taking away all his personal life I can't help but respect the guy. There's "cockiness" and there's confidence, people can slate him all day but he has always backed up what he has done. He has a perfect record in professional boxing. There's nothing wrong with him believing in himself and being confident in my opinion. It's impossible to say how we would act unless we were lucky enough to be put in that position. If you get the time to watch the above 2 docs (they're only 25mins each if you do want to) it does show him as being quite humble as a younger amateur boxer.

He hasn't backed up his claims of being greater than SRR though, that is what he claims and on that level that is why he is disliked. He is a top level athlete and yes I do admire that level of dedication to a craft in anyone. As a person however, I don't relate to him on any level.

His own child called the police and said that he thought his dad was going to kill his mum as the violence was so intense. People can make mistakes and I feel the vast majority are worthy of redemption but Mayweather refuses to even acknowledge his crimes. This kills any admiration that I might have for his talent and achievements.

Can people relate to any top tier athlete on any level though really? Lets be realistic this isn't Rocky vs Apollo Creed. It's 2 multimillionaires fighting each other, both have hugely comfortable lifestyles, just because Mayweather is more obvious with it doesn't mean Pacquiao is struggling, before this weekend he was still a 20million plus fighter.

It's hard to compare fighters from previous generations to the current ones anyway, the boxing industry is completely different now. I agree Mayweather isn't better...I don't have a problem with him saying it though, it's how he sells fights.

Again I'm not excusing the domestic violence stuff either, it is inexcusable. But Mayweather as a boxer, even if not the most entertaining, so far he always gets the job done regardless of whether he sees it as just a job.

Can't wait for this! Been waiting nearly six years for it and it's nearly here. I want to see Manny win but I think Mayweather will on points. Can't see a Mayweather stoppage tbh.

A surprise sponsor  Imagine Woodward going through a list of all United's sponsors!

Thank feck this fight sells itself. These cnuts are boring me.

Likewise...
And if it's a close fight and the appetite (and money) is there I could even see a mayweather manny rematch happening a few months down the line.

This has been a remarkably humble press conference from the fighters. Expected more trash talk, especially from Floyd.

Looks to me like he has a cold oro something.

Those babes, though... Damn.

Manny's walking out to this cheese eh?

Best bit was when Manny was on his phone and looked over his shoulder to see if Freddie was being nosey.

Oh, and Bob taking shots at the MGM. That was hilarious.

Manny looking more relaxed than Mayweather. To be fair, Floyd's showing Manny a lot of respect, that said it's not like the fight needs a hard sell.

Can't fecking believe I'm on nights for this fight. What time they expected to come out BST? 05:00ish?

I'm still half expecting him to pull out with an injury at the last minute.

Can't see it. I can imagine him doing a David Haye if he loses, though.

I think they said it starts at 2 AM with two undercard fights. I think the main event will start between 4-4:30am.

What's the deal with Mayweathers gym in Vegas, does he spend a lot of time there outside fight prep? Might go check it out next time we're there.

I know it's his illness, and I'm not laughing at him, but Freddie looks like he just caught Manny looking at redtube on his phone.

Floyd looks like a scared little boy.

Those Models :P Although when hired, it must say something like about job description "Stand, look pretty and always always smile. Never stop smiling"

Cant wait for this. Not sure whether to stay up like I normally do or sleep for a few hours then wake up which will probably feck me up more.

I cant wait. My first ever boxing game to see on TV. I want Pacman to win but I know its going to be Mayweather.

Its most likely been asked before but what's the approximate time the fights going to take place?

Virgin Media are charging £19.99 for Standard Definition - No HD.

Bloody joke. They need to be halfing that price for SD. I despise watching normal TV in SD let alone forking out £20 for a 40 minute viewing.

May just search for a stream.
